FRAME AND SWINGARM

The 990 Adventure Baja's tubular space frame made from chromoly steel tubing with a bolted-on, light alloy subframe only weighs 23lbs, yet it provides exemplary torsional stiffness. The long swingarm with conical profiles contributes plenty of mechanical grip.

SUSPENSION ELEMENTS

Long travel suspension with a low seat height provides extremely capable suspension action in gnarly offroad terrain but also provides excellent stability and feedback on high speed asphalt transfer sections to the next offroad adventure. Thanks to multiple setting options, the upside-down telescopic fork and the directly connected shock absorber from WP Suspension allow full adjustment of the chassis and handling characteristics. The shock also features a hydraulic preload adjuster to make easy adjustments based on the additional cargo for your next Adventure.

BRAKES AND WHEELS

More than adequate deceleration is ensured on the Adventure Baja by Brembo® brakes featuring the very finest components, such as two floating 300 mm (11.81 in) front brake discs. Stable wire-spoked wheels with Dunlop 908RR tires designed for full offroad potential.

WIND SCREEN AND LARGE FUEL TANK

The fairing on the Adventure Baja provides effective protection from the wind and weather and accommodates the clearly structured multi-function cockpit that supplies the rider with all essential information. The fuel tanks with a combined capacity of 5.2 gallons ensure a long useful working range.

SEATING COMFORT

Along with offroad styling, the Adventure Baja's perfectly padded twin-level seat ensures firm contact with the ground for all riders and long-distance comfort for both rider and pillion, while also providing crystal-clear feedback for a quicker pace. The narrow V-Twin engine design and flat fuel tank surfaces ensure perfect leg contact for riding standing up in offroad conditions.

STOWAGE COMPARTMENT, ELECTRIC SOCKET, CENTER STAND AND ENGINE GUARD

There is no shortage of details on the Adventure Baja that distinguish it as a genuine travel enduro: from the practical, easily operated center stand, the lockable stowage compartment between the tanks and the on-board electrical socket, to the robust engine guard, stable crash bars and hand guards.

CRASH BARS

In addition to the standard engine guard, should your offroad Adventure get really techincal, the Baja is also equipped with orange powder-coated, extra-stable tubular crash bars, so that the bodywork is protected.

The 990 Adventure Baja is designed specifically for North America and provides an additional level of offroad capability. The Baja is a limited edition model and comes with special Limited Edition graphics to commemorate one of the most storied and famous offroad riding areas across the world; Baja California.

DUNLOP 908RR TIRES

Dunlop 908RR tires have a reputation in offroad for standing up to extreme offroad conditions and provide a new level of handling in sand, mud and dirt. The 908RR also has excellent wearing characteristics for extended trips on pavement.

42T SUPERSPROX REAR SPROCKET (ALUMINUM AND STEEL)

Superlight Supersprox rear sprocket gives the benefit of a lightweight aluminum sprocket but also the long lasting durability of a steel sprocket together in one piece. The Supersprox increases the durability of the chain at the same time. Critical issues for high mileage offroad riders.

ALUMINUM RADIATOR PROTECTOR

The Aluminum radiator protector provides another layer of protection against debris that can damage the radiator.

AUXILIARY LED LIGHTS

Dark, remote trails can always use more light. The two adjustable LED auxiliary lights are the perfect way to improve nighttime visibility.

EXTENDED CARRIER PLATE

Everyone is always looking for another spot for a tie-down and additional room for travel bags, the extended carrier plate is ideal for long distance traveling.

TANK BAG

Tank bags are indispensable when it comes to Adventure touring. Adjustable main compartment, three individual compartments, map pocket all with a total capacity of 18 liters. I also includes a carrying handle, shoulder strap and rain cover.

WATERPROOF LUGGAGE BAG

The rear waterproof luggage bag works perfectly atop the extended carrier plate. It is a waterproof duffle that can be strapped, stuffed or rolled up to fit exactly what you need for your adventure. Max capacity is 35L.

SUPPORT FOR GPS BRACKET

Every adventure rider has a GPS that has been traveling with them for while. The GPS Support allows the rider to choose the correct GPS mount for their preferred electronics.
