Italian passion can mean a lot of things, but it certainly infuses the location and the atmosphere for the latest edition of the annual KTM EUROPE ADVENTURE RALLY. After expeditions in Portugal and Romania in previous years, the 2026 event will roam central Italy and the hills, lakes and history of the Umbria region from 7-11 September. The three-day riding track will bring together the full essence of group adventuring: discovery, camaraderie, challenges, escapism and making memories. This is about the bike, but also much more than the bike. BOOKINGS CAN BE MADE FROM 20 JANUARY 2026 and slots are taken fast.

Rally

250 motorcyclists will set their base in the history-drenched town of Gubbio, north of Perugia. The KTM EUROPE ADVENTURE RALLY will occupy hotels close to the atmospheric city square with the full KTM hospitality treatment nearby and the ideal enclave for debrief and planning sessions, catering and evening entertainment in the Italian summer.

Days

The architecture of Gubbio will quickly give way to green trails and nearby shallow hills as the KTM EUROPE ADVENTURE RALLY embarks on three different loops every day, returning to base camp each time. The itinerary will move west to reach the inviting ripples and unforgettable surroundings of Lago Trasimeno, then explore the terrain south in the longest trajectory of the event before finally crossing the mountains of Monte Nerone and Monte Foce. Importantly, there will be three different ‘skill’ route options: ‘Blue’, ‘Red’ and ‘Black’ for beginners to experts. The Blue choice is 95% accessible by car and consists of well-prepared gravel roads. The Red line involves some single, technical trails and could tempt a confident beginner. The Black course features some tough enduro trails (get ready to suffer!). Every pathway has been checked by a KTM track manager.

The KTM EUROPE ADVENTURE RALLY caters to every motorcyclist and demographic; from experienced adventurers and enduro riders to first timers and the ‘born again’. GPS coordinates lead the way in authentic Rally style, whichever of the three routes are chosen. There is also the possibility of joining a guided group, but places for this option are limited. At the end of each day videos, refreshments, prizes and fun await. The final night is party time at basecamp in Gubbio. Riders of all levels will be in their element: the gathering is as much about social as speed and special moments rather than the stopwatch. Expect a variety of riding conditions (the weather plays a part as well!) but mainly topography that will allow riders to relish the environment as much as their KTM.

The KTM EUROPE ADVENTURE RALLY is an inclusive outing with like-minded people for a special exclusive experience. WHAT TO EXPECT

Riding Day 1 

Well-fed and watered from our base and set up in the hillside town of Gubbio, we’ll head west with the target of Lake Trasimeno on the GPS. The route will involve plenty of tracks and trails and rural scenes with gravel roads to lift the pace. ‘Black’ and ‘Red’ route options mean some tasty deviations: the Black option forming part of the previous Italian Hard Enduro Championship. Once we arrive to the water we will circle the breathtaking slopes around Italy’s fourth largest lake, the shallow hills and olive groves as we spin back to Gubbio for supper and to close the 200km outing. 

Riding Day 2

Time to increase the distance. Day two will be the longest in the saddle with up to 250km of gravel roads and more hill climbs to come as we journey south in Umbria. We’ll follow the route taken by St. Francis of Assisi, but our pilgrimage will be made with orange power. You’ll eat and sleep well after this one.  

Riding Day 3

The last appointment of the Italian KTM EUROPE ADVENTURE RALLY might be the shortest, 150km, but we’re going vertical with mountain action. Monte Foce and Nerone are our targets with a sumptuous lunch schedule to break up the climbs and descents and some juicy ‘Black’ and ‘Red’ route selections. We’ll pause for a scenic view of Gubbio before plunging back to base camp and sending off the event in style that evening.

KTM Adventure motorcycle (listed below models only), roadworthy with license plate and documents
Valid motorcycle insurance
Travel insurance with repatriation cover valid in Italy/EU
Valid motorcycle license (appropriate for your bike)
Minimum fuel range: 200 km
Off-road riding gear including rain protection
Suitable off-road tires (details provided after booking)
Navigation device (GPS recommended; smartphone/offline-capable device acceptable)

BASE CAMP

The base camp will be located in the heart of Gubbio at the Parcheggio Teatro Romano, providing the perfect hub for paddock, parking, bike washing, hospitality, and entertainment.

If you are arriving with campers, cars, or trailers, you may leave them either at the base camp or at the parking area of the hotel where you are staying. The only exception is Hotel San Marco Gubbio, which does not offer free hotel parking due to its location in the city center. Take a moment to familiarize yourself with the area by exploring the map below.

To better meet the diverse needs of our customers, we have decided to make some adjustments to this year’s event package. Unlike last year, the package now consists of a base package, with optional accommodation that can be booked according to individual preferences. Each participant can choose the option that fits their needs best. The base package is mandatory, but the accommodation package is optional.

Lunch and dinner are always included in the base package. Depending on the chosen accommodation, breakfast may also be included – except for participants choosing the camping option or booking without accommodation.

ADDITIONAL ACCOMODATION PACKAGE

A variety of accommodation options are located just a few minutes’ walk from the venue, ensuring everything is easily accessible. Please note that the availability is limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. If your preferred option is fully booked, we kindly ask you to select an alternative category, as we are unable to increase the number of rooms. Accommodation options include either a single bed in a shared twin room (the standard option from last year, previously included in the participation fee) or the possibility of booking a single room, available only in a specific hotel. We also offer rooms suitable for participants to bring an accompanying person, provide guidance on nearby camping facilities, and allow participation without booking accommodation. All additional accommodation packages cover 4 nights (7–11 September), including breakfast, except for the “No Accommodation” option, where breakfast must be arranged individually.

If you do not wish to book accommodation, please select “No Accommodation – Participant” at check-out; No additional fee will apply. If you choose to participate without accommodation but still want to bring an accompanying person, please select “No Accommodation – Hospitality for Accompanying Person”. This option covers the costs for lunch and dinner for the accompanying person, which is mandatory to ensure proper on-site management. The participant’s costs are already included in the base package when you select “No Accommodation – Participant”. Offroad Adventure Tours GmbH is the official operator of the 2026 KTM EUROPE ADVENTURE RALLY. Their cancellation policy is designed to give you complete peace of mind. In the unlikely event that the official operator cancels the event, a refund minus transaction fee is guaranteed, allowing you to plan with confidence. We recommend paying by credit card since the amount is due immediately, securing your booked space 100%. Some credit card companies offer additional travel cancellation insurance - please check with your provider. We accept all major credit cards (MasterCard, VISA, AMEX) and payment by invoice. Please be aware that in case of cancellation a handling fee will apply to cover transaction costs.
