    BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23

  • The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 is luxurious design, BRABUS typical attention to detail and ultralimited exclusivity. An undeniable statement of style and individuality, conceptualized to merge pure, luxury infused energy with undaunted naked bike precision. Since 1977, BRABUS has been a name synonymous with unbreakable tradition; and that’s what sets the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 apart. For the first time, this highly exclusive motorbike is available in “Superblack” and “Stealth Gray” – two legacy colorways, that have defined generations of BRABUS supercars. Two identities, that encapsulate the essence of confident BRABUS performance, the brand’s heritage and its history like no other. Production for each variant will be limited to 145 units, opening the door to an elite range of 290 BRABUS Night Riders.

The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 maintains and expands its ‘Black and Bold’ identity with a collection of new features. A distinctive headlight mask, complete with exposed-carbon side fairing, power domes as well as BRABUS Signature Stripes in the air scoop accentuate the Edition 23’s unique face. Redesigned side panels and air-ducts serve as a further homage to decades of experience in processing prepreg carbon fiber. The platform of the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 remains the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO. As KTM’s latest evolution in performance-built premium motorcycles, this model offers the best in cutting-edge riding experiences, uncompromising ergonomics and the Naked bike’s beating heart: an exceptional LC8 V-Twin engine producing 180 hp at 9,500 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 8,000 rpm out of its 1,301cc. Additionally, with WP APEX semi-active suspension technology, electronic rider aids, and ride modes, the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 is defined by every cubic inch of its predecessor’s hypnotizing power, radiating an entirely unique identity of its own.

Visually, there is no mistaking the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23. Returning and enhanced highlight ingredients of the BRABUS design DNA including two legacy paint schemes, forged BRABUS Monoblock Z wheels, high-end carbon fiber body elements and a stylish bespoke seat - treated with expert attention to detail by the BRABUS interior specialists in Bottrop, Germany, define the motorbike’s exceedingly unique and sporty character while ensuring an instant 1-Second-Wow factor. All body panels and components have also been designed with unparalleled attention to detail, revealing more of this meticulous motorcycle every time you take a closer look.

Upfront, a distinctive round LED headlight captures your immediate attention – specifically designed to be reminiscent of styling cues found within a selection of BRABUS supercars, most notably the BRABUS 900 Rocket Edition and the BRABUS 900 XLP. The headlight is embedded in an aerodynamic headlight mask to ensure maximum airflow to the engine’s air box.

The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 features BRABUS Monoblock Z forged wheels. State-of-the-art manufacturing processes and a brand-new finish in “Platinum Black” ensure a hallmark BRABUS look as well as maximum strength while being perfectly in line with the hallmark wheel-style often found on a variety of BRABUS supercars.

All BRABUS products are defined by high-end prepreg carbon elements. The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 is no different – the lateral air ducts, the unique headlight mask and the belly pan all manufactured from lightweight and ultra-strong carbon fiber.

The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23’s bespoke heated seat was developed to underline the luxurious character of the motorcycle, while providing maximum levels of grip, fluid rider movement and optimum comfort. The heating functionality additionally ensures pleasant riding comfort in cooler weather. The seat offers a pleasant 845 mm of height and has been reupholstered to feature the exceedingly elegant BRABUS “Crest” stitching pattern.

The carbon fiber undertray is composed of a single piece of carbon which stops the scale just above 800 grams, neatly integrating into the single seat tail.

In keeping with the design’s sporty, aggressive flair, the ultra-lightweight carbon fiber one-piece undertray now features an all-new pillion seat cover. Adopting the design cues of the ignition cover and matching the body color, this upgrade gives the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 a more compact and powerful silhouette

Taking charge at the helm is a 5-inch TFT display. Riders can access information and make adjustments to the bike’s WP APEX semi-active suspension on the fly, quickly and easily without navigating complex menus. The 5-inch TFT display is also scratch and glare resistant. The TFT display is tilt-angle adjustable, allowing the rider to suite his/her riding style. In addition, the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 features its own BRABUS HMI-Welcome-Screen and a selectable “Signature Red” display color scheme.

Ensuring comfortable riding in any weather conditions, as well as an added touch of luxury, the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 is fitted with heated grips offering four levels of adjustment and easy operation.

Bespoke BRABUS foot pegs were CNC-machined from high-strength aluminum with a carbon fiber heel guard and allow for 12-position adjustability, tastefully rounded off by a premium black and silver color scheme.

The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 features a state-of-the-art keyless start system, which also controls the fuel cap. This means all you need to fill up is the transponder key in your pocket.

Lightweight with optimal stiffness, this triple clamp was specifically designed for the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23. While maintaining a 32 mm offset, its superior stiffness ensures precise handling and feel under hard braking. It also ensures less friction in the fork clamping area, providing better pressure distribution. Mostly, however, it is a signature part that further accentuates the BRABUS design DNA, finished in bi-color black and aluminum and emblazoned with the BRABUS logo

Providing both visual appeal and performance, the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 features CNCmachined hand levers, both of which are fully adjustable. This compliments fully adjustable shift and rear brake levers, that allow for three mounting positions for both length adjustability and height – including the option for a reverse shift pattern.

Manufactured from billet aluminum to the strictest of specifications, these CNC-machined reservoirs add unique BRABUS detailing to the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23’s cockpit.

Featuring the latest LED technology, integrated turn signals further accentuate the motorcycle’s clean, unobstructed appearance. LED taillights with incorporated LED turn signals ensure your intentions are always made clear. These also include adaptive brake light as standard.

All-new handlebar end mirrors with a short mirror arm perfectly match the compact and powerful look of the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23, allow for millimeter-precise adjustments at leisure. The round rear-view mirror housing is made of high-grade aluminum and features a finely bead-blasted satin surface as well as a polished outer frame.

With the latest WP APEX semi-active suspension from WP suspension, the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 offers superb rideability and an even wider range of usability. Six different damping modes - COMFORT, STREET, SPORT, TRACK, ADVANCED and AUTO are available as standard equipment, with the rear spring preload having the ability to be set by up to 20 mm, via the TFT menu. This is done in 10 steps according to the requirements of the rider, with the adjustability settings ranging from 0% to 100%, in 10% or 2 mm increments.

    • COMFORT provides a softer, more compliant ride, best suited for longer sessions out on the road or uneven surfaces.
    •  STREET is the ideal setting to provide sporty riding characteristics, with a desirable level of comfort.
    • SPORT takes all the best aspects of STREET mode, but with stiffer suspension performance for sportier riding.
    • TRACK provides the stiffest available setting to provide the ideal setting for track days and specifically set up for faster race tracks where you need additional support under hard braking.
    • ADVANCED allows the rider to select the level of damping for the fork and shock on a scale from 1 to 8. This suits more technical riders who are looking for the smallest marginal gains and want to fine-tune and tailor their suspension settings for their riding styles.
    • AUTO is the most intelligent of the pack and is capable of detecting different riding styles and automatically adapting the damping of suspension, being softer and more comfortable when cruising through the city, and harder and more focused when riding aggressively on a fast mountain pass. This auto adjustment between modes happens instantly without any interference in the ride.

The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23’s WP APEX semi-active suspension system also offers three automatic preload auto-leveling settings – LOW, STANDARD, and HIGH. In this instance, the suspension is able to adjust the preload automatically in accordance with the weight of the rider and recreate three defined geometries:

    • AUTO-STANDARD: neutral and balanced geometry.
    • AUTO-LOW: relaxed, less aggressive geometry, with a lower seat height.
    • AUTO-HIGH: aggressive, agile track attack geometry, with a more loaded front end.
    • Additionally, the system also takes the rider into account, adjusting automatically to the ideal setting.
    • A standard ANTI-DIVING setting keeps the front-end high under hard braking. Naturally, as with most electronic functions, it can be switched off.

Sharing the same technology platform as its predecessor, the BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 is equipped with the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO’s 1,301 cc V-Twin engine producing 180 hp at 9,500 rpm and 140 Nm of torque at 8000 rpm. As the benchmark of V-Twin evolution, this high-end configuration offers excellent power delivery – designed for enthusiasts

The exhaust system has always been a style-defining feature of hallmark BRABUS products. Since 1977, a distinctive sound as well as expertly engineered, performance-orientated designs have been deeply rooted within the BRABUS heritage. The BRABUS 1300 R Edition 23 is equipped with a unique exhaust slip-on, featuring a double-pipe design, which underlines the powerful but unconventional character of the motorcycle.
