ABOUT DANIEL
Daniel “Chucky” Sanders thrives on forward motion. Fast, fluid and instinctive, he sweeps across open desert and flows through the dunes, building momentum with every kilometer. Representing Wind within Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s three elements, he brings speed, flow and endurance to the team’s shared pursuit of victory. The Australian’s confidence carries into his riding, where natural speed meets the precision demanded by rally-raid aboard the KTM 450 RALLY.
With Australian off-road titles, an outright International Six Days of Enduro victory and multiple E3 class wins behind him, Daniel built his rally career on strong enduro foundations. After making the transition from enduro to rally, he steadily built experience, finishing fourth on his Dakar Rally debut in 2021 and claiming victory at the Sonora Rally in 2023. A win at Rallye du Maroc in 2024 with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing set the stage for a breakthrough 2025, when he won both the Dakar Rally and the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship title.
In 2026, Chucky showed that momentum is about more than outright speed. A crash and broken collarbone at Dakar tested his resolve, but he reached the finish in fifth overall. He returned to winning form in Portugal and Argentina, then took runner-up honours at Rallye du Maroc. Those results put him at the head of the FIM World Rally-Raid Championship heading into the final round in Abu Dhabi.
The next horizon is 2027. Bringing the lessons of a demanding season into the next challenge, Daniel is focused on turning speed, instinct and consistency into another push for Dakar victory and world championship success. Always moving forward. Always chasing the next horizon - READY TO RACE.
