Belgian Lucas Coenen is one of motocross’s brightest young talents and a key member of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, competing in the MXGP class.
After a standout rookie season in 2023, which included three podium finishes and an MX2 Grand Prix victory, Coenen raised the bar in 2024—challenging for the MX2 World Championship title right up to the final round in Spain. Although he narrowly missed out on the crown, he was widely regarded as the most dominant rider of the season, leading the most laps and winning more races and GPs than anyone else on the gird.
Stepping up to the premier MXGP category in 2025 aboard the KTM 450 SX-F, Coenen immediately made his mark. In a remarkable rookie campaign, he claimed 14 race wins and 5 Grand Prix victories, confirming his status as one of the sport’s most exciting rising stars and a title contender for 2026.
