    When the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR broke out of its cage in 2021, it quickly set the benchmark for hyper-naked machines. Massive power, unmatched agility, and ultimate exclusivity cemented its place on top of the naked motorcycle throne. Assessed from every angle with a focus on lightweight agility, handling, and overall usability, the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR has dramatically improved the ergonomic interface between the rider and the machine, making it more track-ready and lap-time focused compared to the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R, and even more accurate than the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO.


    The KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR places weight saving at the top of its arsenal. More agile, lighter, stiffer, and boasting dramatically improved high-speed stability, it tips the scales with 11 kg less than the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R EVO.  More so, thanks to its 180 kg weight and 180 hp, the RR boasts an incredible 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. Once again limited to only 500 units worldwide, the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR represents the ultimate offering to riders looking for pure performance, with a performance-based package as exclusive as it is fast.


    Thanks to an all-new, darker, and completely unique ‘RR’ color trim and graphic (CTG) setting itself apart from anything else in the DUKE stable, the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR is an exercise of function over style. Every panel has been calculated for optimum thickness, with carbon fiber taking the place of plastic in all key areas. Not only has this saved weight, but it also provided optimal and functional stiffness. More so, the extensive use of carbon fiber gives the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR a purposeful look, setting it apart from the rest of the SUPER DUKE range.

    The KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR boasts a truly READY TO RACE level of track readiness. Thanks in part to its dedicated RR race-derived WP PRO COMPONENTS with track-developed suspension settings, this is the most track-focused Naked bike to ever grace the paddock.  



    WP APEX PRO 7548 FORK 

    Fully adjustable WP APEX PRO 7548 Close Cartridge fork, together with an adjustable WP APEX PRO 7117 steering damper are used to keep the front end in check, improving performance and response. An internal reservoir also ensures damping is kept much more consistent through the fork travel movement. The cartridge system also has no hydraulic stroke limitation, meaning riders can continually control the damping properties to best suit the current riding scenario, be it on street or at the track.




    The WP APEX PRO 7746 SHOCK is custom-made to achieve the high-performance specification of the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR.  
    Providing almost limitless possibilities for individual adjustment, the WP APEX PRO 7746 SHOCK allows for height adjustment between 353 and 360 mm. It allows riders the ability to find their perfect geometry for sharper turn-in, delivering maximum precision and feedback thanks to the new Super Competition Shock (SCS) Big Valve Technology.




    7-spoke forged wheels, 6.00”x17 on the rear and 3.5”x17 on the front, are 1.5 kg lighter than the standard KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R units and are developed from data collected from the KTM RC16 MotoGP™ racer. The reduced unsprung mass provides improved stopping performance, as well as acceleration off the line. More notable, however, is super-fast steering, with the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR able to flick from side to side with minimal rider effort. Putting the power to the ground comes courtesy of Michelin Power Cup2 tires, providing the best balance between pure track performance and street usability. These also allow for a quicker warm-up period with an ultra-grippy dual compounds architecture ensuring all-round grip and performance.





    A one-piece carbon fiber subframe supported by an aluminum support is the sting in the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR’s tail. Weighing just over 800 grams, while integrating a unique single-seat unit the tailpiece also boasts LED taillights incorporated into LED turn signals for an even sleeker look. 




    Powered by the biggest Euro5 compliant V-Twin engine available in a Hyper Naked motorcycle, the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR produces an astonishing 180 hp @ 9,500 rpm and 140 Nm @ 8,000 rpm. This translates into a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio with rocketship levels of acceleration off the line.  


    Developed in close cooperation with the KTM race teams, a quick turn throttle twist grip makes the connection between the wrist, throttle and the engine almost instant with a 65-degree opening angle. 


    A lightweight Akrapovic slip-on line exhaust comes standard on the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR. Made from titanium with a carbon fiber end cap, it provides the ‘bark’ to THE BEAST’s bite.  
    For the complete power-hungry, a full-system titanium Akrapovic EVO line exhaust system is available as an optional extra. 


    The KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR is Euro5 compliant, boasting a respectable fuel consumption of 5.4 l / 100 km in a combined performance/economy cycle. Only 125 g/km of CO2 is produced, making it easier on the environment too.


    The KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR boasts the most complete track-orientated electronics pack ever seen on a KTM street machine. 


    The usual ride modes are accessible via the TFT dashboard as per the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R but with the addition of PERFORMANCE MODE and TRACK MODE as standard.  
    The key to this update has been to give the rider more feedback about what the engine and the rear wheel are doing.  


    PERFORMANCE MODE is a step up from SPORT MODE and allows a certain level of customization with the key features being the selection of traction control level intervention and throttle control. Anti-wheelie can also be switched off and of course, Launch Control is allowed for those perfect starts. Cruise control and KTMconnect are also available.  


    TRACK MODE allows the same level of traction and throttle control customization as PERFORMANCE MODE but graphics on the TFT are improved with icons, with key data displayed in a larger format and any secondary information not displayed. Anti-wheelie can be switched off and Launch Control is available for the perfect start out of the grid. Cruise control and KTMconnect are not available in this mode. It’s all about the pure track performance


    A new, lightweight Lithium-Ion battery weighs 2.5 kg less than the standard unit, providing an exceptional weight saving over standard.



    The riding position of the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR is first and foremost aimed at performance riding. This is, in the truest sense, a race bike for the road. For that reason, the tank has been angled slightly outwards, so the rider has more support under hard braking and improved contact with the motorcycle when getting the elbow down.  This also resulted in the handlebar being moved lower for better control without compromising comfort.


    The seat on the KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE RR has been developed to provide the maximum level of grip, but also unhindered rider movement. At 847 mm, the seat height is 12 mm taller than the standard KTM 1290 SUPER DUKE R, providing a more track-focused stance. however, and thanks to the adjustability of the rear shock, the seat height can be adjusted all the way down to 837 mm to suit riders of different heights. The shape, as well as the seat foam, have been specifically designed to provide riders with a good level of comfort for long track sessions, or longer street rides, while a unique ‘RR’ logo sets it apart from anything else in the KTM PowerParts catalog.


    Precision engineered by Gilles, these 12-way adjustable footpegs are CNC-machined from high-strength aluminum, with a carbon heel guard. These have been developed on the track and allow vastly improved boot grip and lean angles. 


    • Hydraulic clutch and brake levers are both fully adjustable.
    • Shift and rear brake lever are fully adjustable by 3 mounting positions for both length and height – including the option for a reverse shift pattern.
    • Handlebars are adjustable in 4 positions and can be moved by 22 mm to the front or rear.
