    The KTM SOUTH AFRICA ADVENTURE RALLY will be hosted at the spectacular Champagne Sports Resort, situated in the heart of the Drakensberg Mountains. Taking place over 3 days (16th, 17th, and 18th October), the 2025 edition will follow a similar format to past years. There will be 1 main route with technical breakaway sections to choose from each day over 2 days of riding, taking participants past some of the most breathtaking views and the most beautiful countryside South Africa has to offer, while making memories on two wheels. This will be the 8th edition of the KTM South African Adventure Rally.

For the 2025 edition of the KTM SOUTH AFRICA ADVENTURE RALLY, riders will be immersed in the raw, untamed beauty of the iconic Drakensberg mountains. With towering peaks, deep valleys, misty forests, and open plains, this World Heritage Site offers the ultimate playground for adventure riding. And at the heart of it all lies the stunning Champagne Sports Resort – your base for three nights of comfort, camaraderie, and KTM spirit.

    Over two thrilling days of riding, you'll experience everything the Drakensberg has to offer – from epic escarpments and gravel passes to challenging breakout sections that push your skills to the next level. Whether you're in it for the challenge or the scenery, each route is designed to let you enjoy your KTM in the way that suits you best.

    Every day brings a new adventure: ride at your own pace using the provided GPS files, soak in the mind-blowing views, and conquer terrain that will leave you grinning behind your visor. Expect to pass iconic landmarks, tackle varied terrain, and share the trail with a passionate crew of like-minded riders and professionals who live and breathe orange.

    Days

    The KTM SOUTH AFRICA ADVENTURE RALLY brings KTM riders together over three days to celebrate the best values of adventuring: camaraderie, exploration, discovery, and having an epic time on two wheels with like-minded people. Add in the special stages on each day and challenging breakouts, as well as selected lunch spots, games in the paddock, and prize giveaways by night; your search for the pinnacle of adventure riding is precisely here.

    route

    This year’s Rally will feature one main route each day, carefully designed to highlight the very best of the region – from sweeping gravel roads to challenging climbs and scenic viewpoints. Along the way, technical breakout sections will be available for those looking to push themselves and their machines to the limit. These optional routes will test skill, endurance, and control – ideal for the more experienced riders seeking a challenge.

    All participants are required to have a GPS device. The route will be preloaded onto your GPS, giving you the freedom to ride at your own pace, stop for photos, or tackle the terrain solo or with your group. Whether you prefer a steady cruise or a spirited sprint, the route format offers flexibility while ensuring you stay on course.

    The Rally is tailored to suit a wide range of rider abilities, from those in their first few years of adventure riding up to seasoned adventure pros.

    As always, the KTM ADVENTURE RALLY is about offering an unmatched experience with like-minded people to our ORANGE Adventure riders of all skill levels. Bring your partner, along with an old friend, or make new ones; in the spirit of adventure riding, the KTM ADVENTURE RALLY is about getting back to the basics and enjoying your KTM adventure bike.

    Requirements

    • KTM ADVENTURE Motorcycle (in good riding condition before you arrive at the Rally) with license plate and vehicle documents
    • Fully Comprehensive Motorcycle Insurance or Third-Party Insurance
    • Medical Aid / Medical Insurance
    • Valid Motorcycle License
    • Minimum 200 km Fuel Range & money to buy fuel
    • Full protective adventure riding gear incl. Helmet
    • Suitable Tires for Offroad Riding
    • GPS Navigation Skills
    • Puncture repair kit
    • Money to pay your bar tab (alcoholic beverages, drinks and specialized coffee) which is not covered by event
