ABOUT BRAD
2026 will be Brad’s fifteenth season in the world championship and his seventh in the MotoGP category; every race and lap in the premier class has been contested with the Red Bull KTM RC16. Binder is already one of the best and most successful Grand Prix racers from South Africa and has won in Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP with a world title in Moto3 arriving ten years ago. The journey started back in 2012 and led to the Red Bull KTM Ajo team in 2015 where Brad needed only one campaign to turn into a championship contender. He notched 7 wins and nearly 20 podiums for Aki Ajo’s squad before moving to Moto2 in 2017 with the same crew, where he grasped another 8 victories and 15 top three appearances, coming very close to another crown. The successful collaboration with KTM thus far means that 2026 will be his twelfth year in Red Bull KTM orange colors. Binder will always hold a special place in KTM racing history thanks to his triumph at the 2020 Grand Prix of Czech Republic in his MotoGP rookie attempt. It marked the inaugural ‘P1’ for the KTM RC16 in the premier class. He ranked 11th that season and then worked his way to 6th in 2021 (including a thrilling ‘home’ success at the Red Bull Ring in Austria) and 6th again in 2022 before rising to 4th for 2023. In 2024, Binder continued to solidify his reputation as one of the sport’s top competitors, consistently battling at the front and demonstrating his skill and determination earning another top five finish. 2025 was a tougher run but with some changes to his team and personnel for 2026, Brad will again be aiming for the Prosecco showers.
