CHASE SEXTON AND AARON PLESSINGER RACE TO SEATTLE SUPERCROSS PODIUMS

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton and Aaron Plessinger raced to a pair of podium finishes at Round 11 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship in Seattle tonight, with Sexton claiming a hard-fought second position and Plessinger taking third place in a lively 450SX Main Event.

Sexton powered his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to the second-fastest qualifying time inside Lumen Field, posting a lap time of 47.121s on a circuit recognized for its technical, rutty conditions.

That momentum would continue into his Heat Race, overcoming an average start to steadily slice his way through the field. A spirited ride for the number 4 saw him reach the rear wheel of his Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teammate Plessinger by the race's end, with the team scoring a 1-2 finish.

In the Main Event, Sexton entered the lead of the race after clawing his way from a sixth-place start as the difficulty of the Lumen Field conditions intensified. Following a spectacular performance at the front of the field, Sexton ultimately finished in P2 following a final lap showdown for victory. Chase is positioned second in the standings, just 11 points outside of the lead following Round 11.

Chase Sexton: "Tonight was gnarly and I think the pace this year was even higher than last year, which is crazy. We were pushing the limit – I was getting that long rhythm, which helped me, and then Coop [Cooper Webb] was faster in the tight stuff. There was a lot of cat and mouse out there, but it was a balance of pushing the pace, while also keeping your balance, because you had to hit your marks and try not to make mistakes, which was almost impossible on that track.”

‘The Cowboy’ claimed the holeshot in 450SX Heat 1, which continued his run of form throughout the recent rounds. Managing the pace at the front, the always-popular Plessinger charged to first position onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, setting himself up well for the upcoming Main Event.

Once the gates dropped on the Main Event, Plessinger posted a measured ride on a soft, rutty surface, steadily climbing his way up into a calculated third place finish by the conclusion of the night when the checkered flag flew.

Aaron Plessinger: "I got the best jump out of the gates I got all day for the Main Event, then coming into the first corner, I guess I hit the brakes too quickly and stalled the bike. I was trying to bump start it for about 50 feet and smacked right into Malcolm [Stewart], which I feel so bad about as he might’ve been up on the box with us. It happens. I had to ride hard, and it was not an easy track... The ruts here are like no others, it’s like a sponge, which makes it super-wild. Huge thanks to the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team for keeping me comfortable on track – let's keep this going!"

The 250SX West Class returned to action in Seattle following a three-week hiatus, with Julien Beaumer recommencing his hunt for this year's championship. Equipped with his KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, Beaumer collected the second-fastest qualifying time before finishing P2 in his Heat Race.

Upon delivering a solid ride throughout the Main Event, Beaumer battled inside the podium placings for the entirety of the race before eventually landing a fourth-place result in Seattle to remain well in title contention.

Julien Beaumer: "Fourth place in Seattle, just a bad line choice in the Main cost me a lot. I should have been blitzing the whoops, then I got stuck behind the lapped riders, too, and didn’t make good choices there. I became frustrated, which ultimately cost me a lot of time. Overall, it was a step in the right direction with my riding, as my shoulder is improving, and we’re on an upward trajectory. I'm ready to get back to work and come out swinging in Philly.”

    ELI TOMAC AND RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING RETURN TO 450SX PODIUM IN DENVER

    Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Eli Tomac made a timely return to the 450SX podium with third position in Denver at Round 16 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship on Saturday night, as teammate Jorge Prado posted a solid P6 result after winning his Heat race. Two-time premier class champion Tomac returned from injury for his home state race in Colorado after missing Philadelphia altogether, setting the sixth-fastest qualifying time onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION in dry, technical track conditions. Tomac finished fifth in his Heat Race, before completing the opening lap of the Main Event in fourth position, and in a strong place to race forward. A brief stall in the sand section then dropped him back to P7, however, he charged through the remainder of the race to secure a P3 finish. Denver marks Cortez, Colorado, native Tomac's ninth podium of the 2026 season – including four victories – and sees him ranked fourth in the 450SX standings with a single round remaining. Eli Tomac: “I'm glad to land on this podium for the Colorado fans! I was so bummed when I stalled it in the sand. I just happened to stomp on my rear brake there and then, honestly, like double-stalled. Anyway, I was able to claw back there, had some fun on this track, and that was just a good bounce back. I'm happy to get back for these last two rounds, and love being on the West Coast, too – of course, home state in Colorado – and we'll try to get another podium next week." Four-time world champion Prado set the seventh-fastest qualifying time onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION within Empower Field at Mile High, before capturing the holeshot and a convincing fourth Heat Race victory of the year. After securing the Main Event holeshot, the 25-year-old ran inside the top-five for the race's duration, including a mid-race battle with teammate Tomac for third position, before ultimately claiming a hard-fought sixth-place result. He is positioned 10th in the 450SX championship points tally. Jorge Prado: "I would say Denver was a pretty positive weekend for me – especially after a couple of tough weekends, it was nice to get back towards the front with a Heat Race win. I adapted to the track well for the night program, and small achievements like that Heat Race are a big confidence booster for me. And then in the Main Event, I got a good start and tried to race with the guys up front – their pace was a little stronger than mine, but I tried my best to hold on. I made a small mistake before the triple, which cost me, so I'd say 95 percent of the race was good, just that last five wasn't perfect. P6 for the night was decent and now we have one round to go."     Round 15 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship featured ultra-tough, rain-soaked conditions inside Philadelphia’s Lincoln Financial Field on Saturday night, where Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jorge Prado ultimately recorded a P16 result in the 450SX Main Event. The afternoon qualifying sessions provided a dry race track in Pennsylvania, with 25-year-old Prado powering his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to a competitive fifth on the combined timesheets with a 48.030s laptime. The skies then opened between qualifying and the night program, with a heavy downpour transforming the circuit into a mud race, where both speed and consistency would be at a premium for the remainder of the evening. In 450SX Heat 2, the four-time world champion claimed a vital holeshot, delivering a P5 result and – most importantly – a direct transfer into the night’s Main Event. A difficult start and intensifying weather saw Prado circulate well outside the top 10 on Lap 1, with the Spaniard forced to persevere with impaired vision from the outset. From there, he would climb to 16th by race’s end and continue his Supercross learning curve in 2026. Jorge Prado: “Philadelphia is done, and I had a great feeling in the morning. Qualifying was good – I felt super comfortable with the bike and track in dry conditions. Then everything changed for the Heat Race and Main Event – the Heat was actually not too bad, I was riding decent. And then in the Main Event, I had a terrible jump out of the gate with wheel-spin, and that made it super-hard for me. I wasn't really in a flow and struggling a lot, so that's it for Round 15. We'll come back next weekend!" Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teammate and two-time 450SX Champion Eli Tomac was absent from Round 15, as he continues to recover from his qualifying incident at the previous SMX World Championship round in Cleveland.     CHALLENGING CLEVELAND TRIPLE CROWN FOR RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING

    Round 14 of the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship proved a challenging outing for Red Bull KTM Factory Racing, with Jorge Prado finishing 15th overall in the Triple Crown and Eli Tomac forced to withdraw from the event altogether following a crash in the opening qualifying session. Supercross made a high-profile return to Cleveland, with Huntington Bank Field hosting the 14th round of the SMX World Championship season after inclement weather persisted in the region this week. On the soft, technical layout, Prado quickly found comfort aboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION during qualifying, posting the fifth-fastest time of 45.083s to take confidence into the upcoming three-race format. The opening race of the Triple Crown saw Prado complete the first lap in fourth position, eventually crossing the line in P14 after experiencing vision difficulties in the challenging conditions. Prado claimed 15th place in Race 2, before the four-time world champion earned another P15 in the third and final outing to finish 15th for the round. He sits 10th in the 450SX standings with just three rounds remaining in Supercross. Jorge Prado: “It was a rough day in Cleveland. The Triple Crown format is still new to me and the conditions were challenging also, but I gained more experience and that is what is important this year. Three to go – we will keep learning, and I’m excited for the next few races to finish the season.” Two-time 450SX Champion Tomac entered Cleveland only 15 points outside of the red plate, however, a heavy crash in the whoops during this morning's Q1 session would ultimately end his weekend. Tomac attempted to ride in the second session, before the decision was made for him to park his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION and undergo further medical evaluation after experiencing ongoing discomfort in his hip region.
