CRAWFORD AND KTM RACING TEAM CLAIM AUSTRALIAN SUPERCROSS CHAMPIONSHIP SX2 PODIUM

KTM Racing Team’s Nathan Crawford claimed second overall at Wagga Wagga's final round of the 2022 Australian Supercross Championship (AUSX), sealing third position in the SX2 class point-standings.

Crawford and his 2023 KTM 250 SX-F mastered the sprawling final-round circuit as he finished inside the top three in every outing across the afternoon and into the evening's main program.

After qualifying in third place, the Queenslander launched out of the gate and led his SX2 heat from start to finish, setting the tone for round four's two-final format.

In the first SX2 final, Crawford quickly settled into second position, which he held to the end, then steered clear of trouble in an eventful second final to finish a consistent third place.

Crawford’s 2-3 result saw him claim second overall on the night – his second podium of the four-round series – and finish a successful supercross championship in third overall.

Nathan Crawford: "The track broke down quite a lot, but was still racey and I put my best foot forward tonight, finishing second on the night and third in the championship! To end the season off with my best round of supercross this year is really, really good, so I'm really happy and now I can look forward to getting even stronger for next year."
