KTM Adventure Rallye will be returning to the North Island, and back to where it all began, back in 2016. Starting the 2026 KTM New Zealand Adventure Rallye in the beachside town of Papamoa, this Rallye will take riders on a unique journey through the Eastern Bay of Plenty and beyond. With a route that includes Gisborne’s rugged coastlines, the sparkling shores of Taupo, and the geothermal heart of Rotorua -this ride will offer a fresh mix of coastal trails, forestry, and epic high-country terrain. From flowing gravel through back country roads, to technical hidden trail sand panoramic ridge lines, riders will experience some of the most diverse riding the North Island has to offer - All backed by full KTM support so you can focus on the adventure!

Each KTM NEW ZEALAND ADVENTURE RALLYE rider can make the most of their experience. The event route is tailored to suit a range of rider abilities, from those starting out in their first few years of adventure riding to seasoned adventure pros (we strongly advise that riders should have, at minimum, two years of off-road riding experience). To cater for this variety of riders levels, each day’s route can be traversed in your own time, at your own pace, with two route options available daily – Main Route and Breakout Routes. The Main Route will feature gravel roads and open flowing back country tracks, less technically challenging while the Breakout Routes offer advanced riders more challenging terrain in the form of single track, forest trails, greasy and slipper untouched private lands and some creek crossings! The Breakout Routes will be graded on our ‘chili system’ rating, to advise riders on how spicy they are! Navigation for riders will be via GPS, with arrows to assist throughout the day and daily route sheets provided at Riders Briefings including points of interest, suggested lunch stops and fuel stations.
