Prime Conditions for Round Two of Berm Busters

A week of rain leading up to the 2nd round of the 2-day Berm Buster trail rides, about 20min drive from Taupo led to perfect track conditions for the weekend.

Sunshine on both days, although colder on the Sunday let the pumice soak up the water to create the perfect level of grip for the riders to enjoy over 150kms of trails through the Wainui Forest.

With over 1500 riders again for Round 2, the organizers at Epic Events have been making constant improvements to infrastructure and management of the event to make sure you never feel the crowds and the trails don’t feel swamped with all the riders on the trails, at times it feels like it’s just you and your riding buddies out on track.

The 4 main tracks offered a good split for the beginner riders all the way up to the expert riders with some good breakouts taking you off the main tracks. It was also a good opportunity for some Romaniacs competitors to gather good knowledge and practice riding using GPS tracks and taped sections linking all expert tracks together for some challenging fun on the day.

KTM also had a great selection of Demo bikes on the day for the opportunity to test the latest machines on the dedicated demo track.

Round 3 will be on the 10th and 11th of June, the tracks are already being prepped, demo bikes will be back again and we hope to see you all there.
