ABOUT MAVERICK
Maverick Viñales stands out as one of the most experienced and talented riders on the MotoGP grid. Known for his smooth riding style, technique and raw speed, Viñales has consistently been a frontrunner throughout his Grand Prix career. Starting in the 125cc World Championship in 2011, he quickly made an impact, earning the Rookie of the Year title in his debut season. In 2013, Viñales secured the Moto3 World Championship, showcasing his exceptional skill and determination in a last round-last lap decider. He then progressed to Moto2 in 2014, where he toasted three victories and multiple podiums before making a highly anticipated jump to MotoGP in 2015. Over the years, Viñales has amassed numerous wins and rostrum finishes in the premier class and forged a reputation for consistent high standards and competitiveness. His ability to adapt to different bikes and conditions has earned him widespread respect in the paddock; by 2024 he’d won with three different manufacturers. Maverick’s fluidity and open-mindedness was proven again in 2025 when he pushed the Red Bull KTM project forwards in the opening stages of the season, coming so close to a first podium classification in orange at the Qatar Grand Prix. Only a shoulder injury in Germany at the midway point of his eleventh MotoGP term prevented more spoils for the likeable Spaniard. 2026 should see Maverick demonstrating the full potential of the KTM RC16 once more.
