KTM has launched the striking new KTM 890 ADVENTURE R in Australia, completing a spectacular press introduction with the much-anticipated model that is now also available in KTM authorised dealers.
An assortment of respected national media embarked on a three-day journey from KTM's Australian head office in Sydney, before travelling into the Blue Mountains for a range of different terrain that truly put the KTM 890 Adventure R to the test, complete with overnight stays in Wallerawang and Hampton.
When all was said and done prior to returning to KTM HQ, it quickly became evident that test riders within the group were highly-impressed with the brand new model's versatility and outright performance throughout the real-world adventure that made up the launch - from roads to gravel, through creek-crossings, over rocky sections and everything in between!

The KTM 890 ADVENTURE R packs an exhilarating riding experience that has built upon what so many riders enjoyed about the KTM 790 ADVENTURE R, boasting additional power (105hp/100Nm) alongside added stability and consistency, which comes in association with 20 percent more crankshaft rotating mass.
Riders will also benefit from fully-adjustable WP XPLOR suspension with new settings, improved ABS software and updated traction control algorithms, a reinforced clutch, enhanced shifting, revised Quickshifter+ (optional), a new handlebar switch for Cruise Control function, chassis upgrades (aluminium steering head tube and lighter subframe) and reworked brakes.
