  • Red Bull KTM Factory Racing to amplify MXGP program with De Carli reunion

    ดูข้อมูล
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing will grow for the 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship and for the Grand Prix seasons to come. The multi-title winning squad will reincorporate the Rome-based De Carli team for a return to the previous regime in both MXGP and MX2 categories. The complete rider roster and array of works KTM SX-F machinery in both GP classes has yet to be confirmed for 2025 but the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing crew will again operate from Austrian and Italian bases for the best training, preparation and competitive network. Team Managers Harry Norton and Davide De Carli will bring their energy and technical expertise to the outfit in pursuit of another premier class crown and yet more acclaim in the MX2 division.
The De Carli team was integrated into the Red Bull KTM family for the 2010 world championship campaign where they won the first of nine titles for the company (in all classes) and the maiden #1 plate with the KTM 350 SX-F. Davide and his staff have continued competing and winning, earning their seventh ‘gold medal’ with Jorge Prado in MXGP last year and are currently vying for their eighth in the premier class. Davide De Carli, Team Manager : “This is like ‘back to the future’ for us! It’s good to ‘return’ to KTM and to bring two strong structures together again. We have never stopped pushing for wins and podiums at the very highest point of the sport, regardless of the rider, but we have also helped the younger or more inexperienced racers find their way in GPs. It is a line we are excited and motivated to follow. We want to deliver more titles for KTM.” Pit Beirer, KTM Motorsports Director : “It is awesome for us to bring Davide, Claudio and all their staff back into the orange. Their record as a team is almost unbeatable and we know very well their working style and the passion they have for the sport. Taking De Carli back into Red Bull KTM colors means we are in an even stronger position for MXGP.”

Eighth MXGP podium finish in a row for Herlings with impressive Czech Republic comeback

    ดูข้อมูล
The Grand Prix of Czech Republic gave Red Bull KTM Factory Racing their nineteenth trophy of the 2024 FIM Motocross World Championship and from thirteen rounds as Jeffrey Herlings went 1-4 for 3rd overall around the quick but tricky course near the town of Loket.
    • Herlings walks the MXGP rostrum for the eighth consecutive Grand Prix after recovering from two spills in the second race. His P1 from the first outing signified the 200th moto victory of his career, and all in Red Bull KTM colors
    • Liam Everts takes 4th overall in MX2 as Andrea Adamo misses out on points and Sacha Coenen earns a best classification of 9th from the second race. Croatian youngster Roko Ivandic wins the EMX65 European Championship with a KTM 65 SX
    • MXGP moves from Loket to Lommel and the Grand Prix of Belgium. Round 14 takes place next weekend in the sandy venue close to the Dutch border
MXGP landed back on European turf and for the slick and compact dirt of Loket and the Grand Prix of Czech Republic. The historic layout close to the spa town of Karlovy Vary is a tight and narrow trajectory that winds across the hillside setting and draws a diverse collection of fans from across the continent. Loket has hosted Czech GP every year since 2002, with the exception of 2020. Sunny and warm conditions coated both days of action in western Czech Republic and Jeffrey Herlings took his KTM 450 SX-F to a steady 3rd position in Saturday’s RAM Qualification race and a decent slot for the wide and long start straight. In MX2 Sacha Coenen grabbed P2 and was followed directly by Liam Everts in 3rd and Andrea Adamo in 9th after a slip cost the Italian a few places and time on track after he’d made good ground. Starts were at a premium on Sunday. Herlings moved up from the top five to 2nd in the first laps of the opening moto and then stalked World Champion Jorge Prado to seize the lead at mid-race distance. He then eased to his 200th career checkered flag. In the second moto the Dutchman went down entering the second corner. He swiftly fought back to the top half of the leaderboard but then clipped the rear wheel of another rider and again had remount, pull the pin and find time where possible. Herlings’ speed and skills dragged him up to 4th place, less than ten seconds from the winner, meaning a solid salvage operation with P3 to show for his efforts: just one point from the overall runner-up slot. JH84 is 3rd in the world championship standings but just 19 points from 2nd and 55 from the red plate. MX2 was won by Kay de Wolf on the day but Red Bull KTM saw Liam Everts take the KTM 250 SX-F to 4th overall and with a top three second moto finish. Red Bull KTMs led 1-2-3 at the launch of the first MX2 dash but then the race was red flagged. Upon the restart Coenen grabbed the holeshot, however a mistake while in P2 dropped deep him into the pack and another crash at the bottom of the hill forced a DNF. Everts and Adamo were part of a busy fight in the second group that was won by the Belgian in the final minutes as he pushed up to 5th.  Adamo, who had fallen in morning warm-up, was unseated with less than two minutes to go on the clock and pulled off the track. The Italian would not take to the gate again due to a cut abdomen. Everts captured the last holeshot of the day and rode to P3 (his first top three ranking since the Italian GP) while Coenen banked some points with a ride to 9th. The annual swing from Loket to Lommel and hardpack to deep sand sees MXGP travel west and to the northern tip of Belgium for round fourteen next weekend.

CHASE SEXTON MAKES IT THREE IN A ROW AS AARON PLESSINGER AND TOM VIALLE LAND WASHOUGAL PODIUMS

    ดูข้อมูล
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing's Chase Sexton swept to his third-straight AMA Pro Motocross Championship round victory at Washougal to extend his advantage in 450MX, as Aaron Plessinger joined him on the podium in second overall, and Tom Vialle raced to the opening moto win on his way to second overall in 250MX. Sexton has been the class of the field during the middle stages of the 2024 season on his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, winning the past seven motos in succession. He put forward a measured performance amidst the tree-lined shadows of Washougal to go 1-1 once again on Saturday, building a 28-point lead in the championship with three rounds remaining.

Chase Sexton:   "It feels nice, because I wanted to get this win before the break, and to go into that with some momentum. We've got two weekends off, so I plan to go back and rest, because I haven't been feeling the greatest these last few days. I felt really good on the bike, was able to push through and find a flow, which got me to the end. This crowd's awesome and I love coming to this track every year. We'll keep the hammer down from here and go for it!"

While Sexton had to make his way through the field in both motos, teammate Plessinger started up front and managed to lead the majority of Moto 1, until a late stall allowed a charging Sexton – who had gone down earlier in the race – to power by. Plessinger was just as strong in the final encounter, slicing his way to a P3 finish to secure second overall. He's currently ranked fourth in the title race.

Aaron Plessinger:   "These fans at Washougal are unreal! It's cool to see this same support country-wide and that these people have the same passion for dirt bikes that I do. I'm still achieving the goals that I set for myself, even if unfortunately last week I had a crash that kept me off the podium in fourth, but we're back here now and I'm happy. We'll take some weeks off for now and do some things I don't usually get to do with the family!"

After qualifying fastest in 250MX this morning, Vialle rode his KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to a commanding victory in Moto 1, and then backed that effort up by leading his share of Moto 2. A fast-starting Vialle eventually took the checkered flag in second position, which placed him P2 on the podium. The Frenchman has now climbed to second in the standings.

Tom Vialle:   "Today was a good day! We were able to go fastest in qualifying and won the first moto, and then Haiden [Deegan] beat me in the second moto. The track was tough and I did my best – it's nice to finish on the podium before the break. We'll keep training and hopefully we can come back and win these last three races."

250MX rookie Julien Beaumer started his day in convincing fashion by qualifying in fifth place, but could only manage a 16th-place result in Moto 1. The teenager bounced back in the second moto to finish in eighth position, which put him 11th overall for the weekend, and Beaumer sits 13th in the championship following Round 8, which was the Military Appreciation Round of the outdoor season.

Julien Beaumer:   "It was a decent day at Washougal. I was good in practice, and then struggled in that first moto – I don't really know what happened there. In Moto 2, I was able to come back with better riding, so in this break we will look to make further improvements and come out swinging in Unadilla."
