RED BULL KTM CELEBRATES TRIPLE PODIUM RESULTS IN BIRMINGHAM SUPERCROSS

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton raced to his third victory of the season at Round 10 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship, posting a convincing scorecard of results across the three-race Triple Crown format in Birmingham. 450SX teammate Aaron Plessinger and defending 250SX East Champion Tom Vialle also claimed podium results tonight.

Equipped with his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, Sexton registered the fastest time in the afternoon qualifying sessions, applying the perfect balance of throttle control and aggression on the dry, hard-packed Protective Stadium circuit.

With his starts dialed throughout the night, Sexton was inside the top three during the opening lap of each Race and converted his track position to victory in the opening two encounters. A measured second-place ride in Race 3 was enough to capture the overall.

In terms of the championship standings, Sexton now sits eight points down on the series lead as Supercross heads to Seattle for Round 10 next weekend.

Chase Sexton: “It’s really nice to get the monkey off my back tonight – it feels like I haven’t won in forever! Getting good starts and the first two race wins was super-important, but it reminded me quickly when RJ [Hampshire] got caught up at the start in Race 3 that anything can happen, so I locked in on executing that start as well. From there, I rode my own race in the last one, tried not to do anything stupid and learn from previous mistakes, but I always thrive in these last eight races, so I’m stoked to kick things off this way.”

Red Bull KTM Factory Racing teammate Plessinger featured prominently during the Alabama event, powering his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to the opening two Triple Crown holeshots.

After collecting a commendable 2-3-5 scorecard, ‘The Cowboy’ earned third position on the night, which continues his recent run of mid-season form.

Aaron Plessinger: “These last couple of races have given me a lot more confidence, and that’s showing in my starts, which put me in a really good position tonight. Ever since Daytona I feel like we’ve been rolling, it gave me the belief that I can run with the boys at the front, and that’s everything to me. So, that combined with the work we’re doing at the Baker’s Factory, means we’re in a really good spot right now!”

250SX East Class number one Vialle also returned to action in Birmingham following the mid-series break, with the ever-consistent Frenchman powering his KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to 2-5-3 results across each race, claiming third overall on the night and extending his championship points lead as a result.

Tom Vialle: "I felt great from the first practice on the track, I pretty much didn’t change my bike all day aside from a couple of clickers. I want that win, believe me, but I’m also letting it come to me. We’re in a great spot in the championship, although I train during the week to win, so we’ll get back to work during this weekend off for us to try and click one off.”

JULIEN BEAUMER AND RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING CONTINUE INTO THE FUTURE

    Ver Perfil
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing has re-signed Julien Beaumer through the 2027 SMX World Championship and beyond, continuing together into the future following a standout campaign to date in AMA Pro Motocross this season. Since joining KTM's factory program in 2024, Beaumer has emerged as one of the most exciting young riders in the sport. The 20-year-old broke through for a first-career 250SX victory in the AMA Supercross Championship last year on his way to second in the Western Divisional standings. Despite a serious back injury ruling him out of Supercross in 2026, 'Juju' has made a remarkable return to competition outdoors and is currently positioned third in the 250MX championship after winning his maiden overall at the Spring Creek National. In a multi-year agreement, Beaumer will enter his fourth season with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in 2027, targeting title success across the SMX World Championship – including the AMA Supercross and AMA Pro Motocross Championships – equipped with the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION. Julien Beaumer: "I'm really stoked to announce that I've extended my contract with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing. I can't thank them enough for the belief and hard work they put in – these last three years have been amazing and I couldn't be happier to be with the group of people that I'm with. Let's win some races and fight for some championships! That's the goal." Ian Harrison, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager: "Julien is one of the younger riders on our team, but with this contract extension he’ll become one of the veterans of our program. We couldn’t be prouder of the growth Julien has shown. He has demonstrated that even during challenging times, he can make smart decisions, stay focused on improvement, and continue working to become a better racer. We’ve all seen the tremendous progress he has made throughout the 2026 Pro Motocross season, both on and off the track. I have no doubt that Julien will continue to develop his racecraft and reach new levels in the years ahead. His future is incredibly bright, and we’re grateful for the trust he has placed in our team. We look forward to continuing to build on this success together."

RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING RE-SIGNS JORGE PRADO IN MULTI-YEAR EXTENSION

    Ver Perfil
Jorge Prado has re-signed with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing to remain in the SuperMotocross World Championship for 2027, spanning across the AMA Supercross Championship, AMA Pro Motocross Championship and SMX Playoffs as part of a multi-year contract extension. The 25-year-old has been outstanding upon reuniting with Red Bull KTM this season, achieving two 450SX podium results in Supercross, and already standing on the 450MX podium twice across the first eight rounds of the outdoors. He is currently positioned third in the combined 450SMX standings. Prado first partnered with the Austrian manufacturer over a decade ago, making his full-time Red Bull KTM Factory Racing debut in the FIM Motocross World Championship in 2017. The Spaniard went on to clinch a pair of MX2 titles in 2018 and 2019, followed by consecutive MXGP crowns in 2023-2024. Next season will see Prado continue to gain experience in United States competition on board the KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION together with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, targeting ongoing success with the goal of becoming a title contender throughout the SMX categories in the future. Jorge Prado: "I'm really happy to have re-signed with the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, because we've had great past seasons winning in MXGP, and this past year was great in Supercross – we achieved some podiums, had a couple of heat race wins, and now we've been very strong outdoors. I'm just happy to be working with this great group of people for the future, so I am super-excited and hopeful that we can achieve our goals." Ian Harrison, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager: "We’re excited to have Jorge continue with KTM. Jorge and KTM have agreed to a contract extension, and our entire team is looking forward to seeing him continue to develop his Supercross and motocross skills here in the United States. We were all impressed by how quickly he adapted to Supercross in 2026. His confidence and speed, particularly through the whoops, stood out as one of his greatest strengths in one of the most demanding sections of the track. Jorge has shown tremendous willingness to learn, and we believe his best years are ahead of him. We’re looking forward to this next chapter, supporting him, and seeing his growth and success with KTM in the future."

RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING'S JORGE PRADO LANDS 450SX PODIUM IN SALT LAKE CITY

    Ver Perfil
Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Jorge Prado ended the 2026 AMA Supercross Championship with a hard-fought P3 podium result in Salt Lake City on Saturday night, completing a standout season of 450SX competition. The four-time world champion set the eighth-fastest qualifying time onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION at Rice-Eccles Stadium, before capturing the holeshot and racing to a second-place finish in his Heat Race. Prado then completed the opening lap of the Main Event in third position, running at the front of the field as the 450SX title contenders battled directly ahead. Remaining patient throughout the race's duration, the 25-year-old climbed as high as P2 before securing a third-place finish. The Spaniard pieced together a standout first season teamed with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in Supercross, collecting two podium finishes alongside seven additional top-10 results, and ninth in the point-standings. Attention now turns to the Pro Motocross component of the SMX World Championship, which will commence in Pala, California, on May 30. Jorge Prado: “It has been a pretty cool Supercross season for me! I’m very happy to have made it to the end, and then obviously starting A1 with a podium, my expectations were high all year long, but I knew it was a learning curve. We had some good and bad moments, but at the end of the day, we got here to the last round and put ourselves back on the box with a great ride. So, I am very proud of myself and the work I put in every day, but also the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team. They have been putting a lot of work in as well at the test track, improving the bike with me. We learned so much this year – to be honest, I thought the change coming from MXGP to Supercross was going to be a little bit easier, but Supercross is a whole different world.” Two-time premier class champion Eli Tomac entered Salt Lake City with momentum after a return to the podium last time out in Denver, powering his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to P1 in qualifying with a 49.065s lap-time. An untimely crash just moments into 450SX Heat 2, however, saw the 33-year-old unfortunately withdraw from the event, with the team confirming the decision as a precaution following a heavy impact to his stomach/hip in the incident. Tomac’s maiden AMA Supercross campaign with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing began in spectacular fashion, claiming victory on debut at Anaheim 1 before backing it up with another win the following weekend in San Diego. He added further victories in Seattle and Daytona – alongside five additional podium finishes – to claim fourth overall in the final 450SX standings.
