    As the potential of GPS and Bluetooth-equipped technology progress then so do the possibilities of functional real-time data into the rider’s hands and at the flick of a handlebar switch.

    VIRTUAL GARAGE

    KTMconnect can be added to a mobile device with technical settings of iOS 14 and Android 7 (minimum). KTM riders can then explore the extent of the KTMconnect App from the ‘Virtual Garage’ home screen. Customisable with a background image of a ‘real’ garage, multiple bikes can be added and swiped and marked as ‘Favourite’. Selecting a particular KTM motorcycle will then open set-up options correlating with the model.

    Advanced KTM electronics, interconnectivity and TFT hardware and software means a widening range of orange motorcycles can make full use of KTMconnect for navigation and location purposes. Navigation is powered by the all-compassing Sygic® app solution for incredibly detailed international journey information and route guidance; no matter the time, the distance or the landscape.

    With the two NAVIGATION plans available at two different costs, KTM riders can share and export planned trips as well import information from other 3rd party Apps. Real-time Route Sharing is a handy feature for localization, or letting friends or companions see where the rider and their KTM motorcycle are currently based. The MOBILITY SERVICE supports riders and eligible bikes in the case of a problem or other issue. Based on GPS permissions riders can chart the arrival time of MOBILITY SERVICE partners for assistance.

    NAVIGATION BASIC

    NAVIGATION BASIC offers a wealth of guidance information and settings for the maximum amount of assistance while on the move. The program provides: 2D footprints, 2D map, 37 languages and 49 pre-recorded voice languages, waypoints, advanced navigable maps, a choice to avoid tolls, highway, unpaved roads, destination selection from the map, country splits, current street, Day/Night color scheme, estimated time of arrival (ETA), Favorites, map path (with automatic zooming in/out), next street/turn icons and voice warnings, searchable POIs on route, recent searches, remaining distance/time, route suggestions with fastest and shortest choices, Turn by Turn (TbT or TbT+) on screen, Time format and units.

    NAVIGATION PREMIUM

    NAVIGATION PREMIUM is an upgraded version with all the specs of NAVIGATION BASIC but with the following additions: 3D maps with advanced city modelling (buildings and landmarks), compass indicators, GPX import/export for sharing with friends and co-riders, incident notifications with popup alerts, junction view, lane assistant, Multiday planning, navigate to phonebook contacts, pedestrian routing, real-time route sharing, Real-time traffic patterns and updates, Real-time traffic re-routing, search results sharing, sharp curve warning (voice), speed camera and limit warnings (voice and notifications).

    • HOW DO I CONNECT KTMconnect TO MY BIKE?

    By activating Bluetooth on a mobile device and '‘searching'’ for the KTM motorcycle. Once paired then both device and motorcycle will be synced and will interact. The mobile device can then be switched to '‘black screen mode'’ and stored in a bag or pocket to save power. You can cycle through the functions of the KTMconnect app using the switch on the left handlebar.

    • WILL I NEED A GPS PROGRAM ON MY PHONE FOR NAVIGATION?

    No. Like Maps on iPhone and Google Maps and a host of other satellite GPS systems, KTMconnect Navigation is an independent map-based software program; one with a number of handy features for KTM touring and cruising.

    • WILL I HAVE TO USE DATA ROAMING?

    KTMconnect can be used in roaming but special maps for KTMconnect Navigation can be downloaded and stored via WIFI before setting off on a journey. Routes can also be stored and used again later.

    • HOW DO I OPERATE KTMconnect?

    After downloading and becoming familiar with KTMconnect on your phone and then pairing with your KTM bike, the full extent of the app can be explored and changed using a combination of button pushes and menu selections through the left handlebar switches. We fully advocate setting up and customising your app choices before starting your journey.

    • HOW MUCH DOES KTMconnect COST AND WHERE CAN I GET IT?

    KTMconnect can be downloaded for iOS or Android platforms through the relevant app stores and costs €8.99 for a one-time purchase.
