Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Andrea Verona has been crowned the 2026 FIM Enduro2 World Champion after a dramatic final day at the GP of Wales in Rhayader. Delivering when it mattered most, Verona took victory in Enduro2 to successfully defend his title. Already crowned the EnduroGP and Enduro1 World Champion, Josep Garcia completed his dominant season with another double EnduroGP and Enduro1 victory aboard his KTM 250 EXC-F. The Spaniard has now an incredible 50 EnduroGP wins to his name.
Verona faced a tense opening day with the Enduro2 title still undecided. A crash in the first test cost the Italian valuable time and left him with plenty of work to do. However, he fought back throughout the day with a series of strong test times. Saving his best performance for the final lap, he ended his day fifth in EnduroGP and third in Enduro2. Continuing to lead Enduro2 by one point from Zach Pichon, Sunday would be a winner-takes-all battle for the Enduro2 crown.
With the Enduro2 title on the line, Verona responded in emphatic fashion on the final day. Putting in one of his best rides of the season, he built up a 16-second advantage over Pichon during the opening two laps. Going on to win the Enduro2 class, while also placing second in EnduroGP, rewarded him with his third consecutive Enduro2 World Championship, and vice-champion in EnduroGP. Additionally, the Italian is now a nine-time FIM Enduro World Champion, placing him alongside Garcia as the joint-third most successful rider in EnduroGP history.
Garcia rounded out his already historic season in style in Wales. After finishing a close-second in Friday’s Super Test, the Spaniard dominated Saturday. Winning six tests outright and taking the EnduroGP victory by 34 seconds, he also secured the Enduro1 class win. On Sunday, he continued that form by winning three of the opening four tests before maintaining control of the race lead to claim his 50th EnduroGP victory. The result also completed a perfect Enduro1 season for Garcia, with the Spaniard winning all 14 days of racing in the class.
In what’s proven to be a remarkable 2026 FIM EnduroGP World Championship for both riders, Red Bull KTM Factory Racing can celebrate winning the EnduroGP, Enduro1, and Enduro2 world titles, while ending the season 1-2 in EnduroGP. The team now look forward to competing in the 100th edition of the FIM 6DAYS in Portugal, from October 8-17.
Josep Garcia: “It was a really different weekend for me because, for the first time, everything was already decided before the final round. But my goal was still the same: to fight for the top step of the podium and try to win both the overall and Enduro1 class. I wanted to finish the season in the best way possible, and it was great to achieve that. I just want to thank my team, my mechanics, the whole team around me, my family, and my friends. This has been a really incredible season.”
Andrea Verona: “It hasn’t been an easy weekend. We came here with a small advantage, and I knew I needed to win one of the two days to secure the World Championship. After struggling a little on the first day and finishing third, I went into the final day with just one point separating us, so I knew I had to give everything. I’m really happy with how I managed the pressure and the situation today. I rode really well, pushed from the beginning, and was able to get the win when it mattered most. This title means a lot to me. It’s never just one rider who achieves something like this – there is always a whole team behind you, and I’m really lucky to have such a great group around me. A huge thanks to everyone involved.”

Andrea was struggling a little with his feeling, but this morning it was a completely different story. From the first test, he was fighting hard and managing the pressure really well. Even when Pichon was riding very fast, Andrea was able to respond and was sometimes only a few tenths or less than a second faster. It was an incredible fight, and I can’t remember a championship being decided in such an emotional way, right down to the final test. Congratulations to Andrea and the whole team, and also to Pichon for such a strong fight. And congratulations to Josep as well, who finished the season with another victory.”
