• The legendary Felbermayr colors return in the 2021 season with a KTM X-BOW GTX
  • Reiter Engineering enters the car in selected Creventic 24 H Series endurance races
  • Horst Felbermayr, Eike Angermayr, Nicolai Elghanayan & Mads Siljehaug as pilots

With the new KTM X-BOW GTX making its first appearances, the legendary Felbermayr colors are returning to international racing as well. And in contrast to their past commitment in the ADAC GT4 Germany, which ended with the title win by driver pairing Eike Angermayr/Mads Siljehaug in 2019, the brand new, blue and yellow racing car will now compete in endurance racing again, like when Felbermayr was involved in the legendary Le Mans 24 Hours race for many years.

The fact that Horst Felbermayr, the boss himself, is also there as a driver, is particularly gratifying. He’s switching from the previously driven GT3 class to the newly created GTX class. The Upper Austrian entrepreneur will share his cockpit with three extremely interesting drivers: Firstly, there’s Felbermayr's Upper Austrian compatriot Eike Angermayr, who grew up in KTM's X-BOW BATTLE and won the ADAC GT4 Germany title in 2019. With Nicolai Elghanayan, a driver from the US is on board who was victorious in the GT4 America series with the KTM X-BOW GT4 EVO. The team is completed by Norwegian Mads Siljehaug, who has already won races (and titles) with both of the drivers listed above: with Angermayr in the ADAC GT4 Germany, with Elghanayan in the GT4 America series.

The quartet will make their first appearance this week at the 12-hour race of the Creventic 24 H Series in Mugello, where competition will be extremely tough: More than 50 teams have submitted their entries, making it the first major endurance race in Europe this season. Even if the KTM X-BOW GTX has already proven its potential several times, Horst Felbermayr is cautious: “We have not yet competed in this setting, and it’s the first long-distance race with the completely new car. Our priority is getting to the finish line so that we can collect as much data and experience as possible." Team boss Hans Reiter, who’s responsible for the mission, adds: "I am really happy that we have a strong partner in Horst Felbermayr for selected races in the Creventic 24 H Series. The driver pairing is extremely well-balanced and I am sure that it has potential for one or the other surprise. We can hardly wait until it finally starts!"
