KTM 1290 Super Adventure R PILLION PERFORMANCE

At KTM, we absolutely love hearing about your ride, and Scott's pillion 3-day adventure with his daughter across the outskirts of Sydney is no exception. Aboard the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, they set off on their journey heading toward the iconic Berowra Waters in north west Sydney for some brunch, before heading onto the Farmed Wheelbarrow Ridge Trail.

Scott hit dirt hard at the Farmed Wheelbarrow Ridge Trail, but this is where he thought the KTM really came into it's own.

"Allowing a bit of 'drift' out of slower corners, even though the bike was loaded...we just had a ball (daughter included)."

Scott continued onto more dirt trails toward Upper Colo, and then onto the Mountain Lagoon Trail before Bilpin. And not to forget about our pillion rider thoughout all the dirt action, Scott's daughter said it was all in all "awesome!". Outside of a bit of a sore bum (which happens on long distances), the seating position, pillion footpegs, and benefit of hard top case as backrest meant she could sit back and simple enjoy the ride.

Day two saw the team glide through the majestic Putty Road into the Hunter Valley region, staying in the beautiful Pokolbin. Scott was amazed by the 1290's capacity in this region, stating that "its like a small bike in the twisty sections, but is blessed with a peach of a motor."

On their way back to Sydney, they ran into more off road action via the dirt trails of Yango National Park with plently of break out explorations. Again, despite patches of pretty rough dirt, the suspension did an amazing job, as scott's daughter claimed she couldn't even feel it.

Not new to KTM's Scott has previously owned several bikes including the KTM RC8 (which he regrettably sold). "I love the LC8 motor in the KTM 1290 Super Adventure R, which fills the void I'd had for many years since parting with my beloved KTM RC8."

So since hitting the tracks Scott's riding opportunities with his 1290 Super Adventure R have expanded to tackling the dirt roads with his daughter. Experiences we're sure will last a lifetime. Scott is able to both adventure more and feel the KTM power & performance he knows & loves.

Whats next for Scott?

"For Christmas i'll be heading down the coast to Shellharbour, then in land (to find as much dirt as I can) to Canberra, then Jindabyne, and then on through Victorian High Country to Dargo, before more dirt into Melbourne. We'll see how that goes (I know will only test my metal, as the bike with be more than fine)."

Scott's going to be a hard man to catch up with over Christmas, but we look foward to hearing more about his KTM 1290 Super Adventure R.
