A sixth victory of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship season tonight in Denver has enabled Red Bull KTM Factory Racing rider Chase Sexton to climb to within nine points of the 450SX points lead with a single round remaining in the series. In 250SX West, Julien Beaumer returned to the podium in what was a well-earned second-place finish. Sexton charged to the fastest qualifying time onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, clearing the field by over one second as he quickly acclimated to the track layout situated within the Empower Field at Mile High stadium. A convincing Heat Race victory set up the number 4 well for the Main Event, with 2023 champion Sexton wasting no time in getting to the front, racing to a decisive 10-second victory at the 16th round of the season, and capturing valuable points towards his championship aspirations. Chase Sexton: "I was pretty fired up from the first lap of the Main Event after we all got a bit close during the first rhythm lane. At that point, I just wanted to get to the lead, and I knew that I could run some good laps, so getting out front and breaking away was my goal. I made an aggressive move by my standards on [Cooper Webb], but we're both going for a championship and have a lot of respect for each other. At the same time, we both really want to win." 450SX teammate Aaron Plessinger powered his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to the fourth-fastest qualifying time in the afternoon, before racing to a second-place finish in his Heat Race in what was his first visit to Denver. A steady ride by ‘The Cowboy’ in the Main Event saw Plessinger commence the race in P5, which is a position he would hold throughout the duration of the encounter, with a welcomed top-five performance the end result. Aaron Plessinger: "This was my first time in Denver, and it was tough! I had an exceptional qualifying, but after that, I struggled. If you know me, I'm more of a soft dirt kind of guy, so the conditions here were challenging. I still got a top-five out of it, so I can't really ask for a whole lot more – we're here and in the fight with the team, we turned the season around, and have one to go in Salt Lake." Equipped with the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, Beaumer arrived in Colorado with a laser-focused mentality, posting the fastest time in combined qualifying, before an early race fall in his Heat Race saw the number 23 move up the order from 16th to sixth position. A mid-field start saw Beaumer’s work cut out for him in the 250SX West Main Event, however, a determined ride saw the teenager charge his way through the field, relentlessly pursuing the front as he eventually finished in a well-earned second place. He's currently P3 in the standings entering next week's finale. Julien Beaumer: "I had a chip on my shoulder coming here in Denver. It's been a rough couple of weeks for me, and I felt like what I was doing during the week just wasn't translating. I had to come out tonight and perform, and I think I did that. Taking that beating in Philly made me realize that I needed to look at myself in the mirror and figure something out... We went to work after that." A pivotal victory in the 250SX East Main Event at Pittsburgh has resulted in Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Tom Vialle regaining the red plate with just a single round remaining in the division, on a night where Chase Sexton kept the pressure on in 450SX with a solid second-place finish to complete Round 15 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship. The defending 250SX East Class Champion Vialle opened his Pittsburgh weekend by recording the fourth-fastest qualifying time despite crashing heavily in the afternoon, before rebounding and racing to a fourth-place finish in his Heat Race onboard the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION. An intense Main Event saw Vialle launch to a top-three start, before posting a calculated performance that saw the Frenchman strike for the lead during the latter stages of the race. From there, the number 1 would hold the lead and deliver a timely race win, now carrying a single-point series advantage into Salt Lake City. Tom Vialle: "This race win was very important, I feel like I had to win [tonight] to have a chance at the championship in Salt Lake. I had a rough start to the day with a pretty big crash in practice, but overall, I got pretty lucky there. I felt great in the Main Event, the bike felt really good too, and after the start I knew that I had to make it happen tonight and thats what we did.” Equipped with his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, 450SX title challenger Sexton powered his way to the fastest qualifying time, dialing in what was a challenging Acrisure Stadium circuit that tested the world’s best Supercross riders. In his Heat Race, Sexton launched to a top-three start and made his way into P2 with teammate Aaron Plessinger heading the field at the front. On a slick surface, Sexton would post a measured performance to earn third place as the checkered flag flew. An epic fight in the Main Event would see the number 4 stalk the leader for the duration of the race after a strong start, riding to the limit of what the track conditions would allow. Following an intense duel over the course of the encounter, Sexton delivered a P2 result and currently sits 12 points from the 450SX lead with two rounds to go. Chase Sexton: "It was a tough track tonight, I knew the start was going to be key, and Cooper [Webb] got off to a good one. From there I really needed to be mindful of how hard I pushed as it was easy to lose the rear-end in these conditions. I felt like I rode well, just couldn’t get close enough to make a pass, but I didn’t want to override the track – finding that limit was tough. It’s disappointing to lose this race tonight, but it was a dogfight and I gave it everything I had.” Teammate Plessinger enjoyed success in his 450SX Heat Race, surging to a second-place result after scoring the holeshot and leading early onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION. Later, in battling within the top-five throughout the Main Event, ‘The Cowboy’ would continue his impressive run of late-season form, crossing the finish line in fourth place to conclude his weekend in Pittsburgh. Plessinger is sixth in the standings following Round 15 of 17. Aaron Plessinger: "Pittsburgh was a fun city and a very cool venue! It was a weird day for me. I felt really good in practice and then got off to an awesome start in the Heat Race. P2 in that one, which was pretty good, but it was a strange Main Event after getting off to an awesome start. On the first lap, I cased the big triple, and I think that threw me off a bit, took me a bit to get going. Around the halfway mark I came alive and managed to come back to fourth, so it's a cool feeling to not give up on myself and rebound mid-race – we'll take the speed into Denver and try to end this Supercross season with two more podiums!" Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Chase Sexton put in a dominant performance during Round 14 of the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship, stretching out to a 15-second margin en route to his fifth victory of the season, while 450SX teammate Aaron Plessinger joined him on the podium in claiming a hard-fought third-place finish. In 250SX East, Tom Vialle raced to a P3 result, earning the team a triple podium for the weekend. Sexton rode his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION to the second-fastest 450SX qualifying time, navigating what was a technical MetLife Stadium layout complete with dual whoop sections and peaky rhythm lanes. Continuing that momentum in his Heat Race, Sexton rocketed to the front of the field after a top-three start, assuming control of the race as the green flag flew. Comfortably heading the field, Sexton would claim P1 to carry winning form into the Main Event. Launching to the all-important holeshot, the number 4 would post a wire-to-wire victory in what was a stellar ride, with Chase's lead reaching as high as 18 seconds throughout the encounter. With the win, Sexton cut the championship points lead to single digits once more, as he sits nine points from the lead with three rounds remaining. Chase Sexton: "I knew it was going to be a gnarly Main Event, but I felt really comfortable all day on my motorcycle. I didn’t change anything, and that’s when you know you’re in a good spot, but I think every week we’ve been building toward this. I feel connected with the bike at the moment and that Main Event for me was just about clicking off fast lap, after fast lap. We have three races left, we know what we have to do, and we just need to go out there and execute.” Teammate Plessinger also found success in his 450SX Heat Race, surging to a third-place finish onboard his KTM 450 SX-F FACTORY EDITION after battling with the race leaders for the duration of the race, and would also carry strong form into the Main Event. Embroiled in a three-rider fight for the final podium position in the Main Event, 'The Cowboy' stayed calm and aware of the tricky track conditions, with his measured ride earning him third place on the night. A fifth podium in the past seven races sees Plessinger now sixth in the point-standings. Aaron Plessinger: "It was a barn-burner back there for the final spot on the podium! I was behind Justin [Barcia] for a long time, and just caught him on the track at the worst parts to try to make a pass. But anyway, this one was a tough one for me, it was probably the hardest track that I’ve raced all year, so I’m stoked to come out of here with a podium and happy with where my confidence levels are at this stage of the season.” Defending 250SX East Class Champion Vialle opened his East Rutherford weekend by recording the third-fastest qualifying time equipped with the KTM 250 SX-F FACTORY EDITION, before racing to third in his Heat Race. The Frenchman then posted a consistent performance during the Main Event, remaining focused on a deteriorating circuit to finish in P3 on the podium and remain in contention for the championship with two rounds to go in the eastern division. Tom Vialle: "My start in the Main Event just wasn’t that good, I had to pass a few guys, and then I was behind RJ [Hampshire] pretty much the whole race, and both guys at the front were riding really good.
