The perfect combination for X-BOW customer racing: Teichmann Racing & KTM

The team has been partnering up with KTM since 2018 and bases all of its customer racing programme on the Austrian manufacturer.
The advantages of the partnership are clear to see, as Michael Teichmann explains: “With the X-BOW, KTM gives us the perfect opportunity to train up our drivers for the Nordschleife and track their progress over the years. That comes at a reasonable cost, too, which is why the package is so interesting.”

The team, which is based a stone’s throw away from the Nürburgring, competes in the Nürburgring Endurance Series and in the Nürburgring 24 Hours with a variety of models, including the GT4 version and, since 2021, the KTM X-BOW GTX. “It’s easy for drivers to move up to more powerful machinery within the team,” the team manager says. “The regular GT4 is fine for securing a permit, while the GT4 EVO and the GTX form a pathway towards professional endurance racing.”

The latest developments involving the team’s driver squad is a testament to that. At the opening round of the Nürburgring Endurance Series in late March, Georg Griesemann, Maik Rönnefarth, Yves Volte, Stephan Brodmerkel and Felix von der Laden demonstrated their skills behind the wheel of the KTM X-BOW GTX in impressive fashion. “All of them learned the ropes with us in the GT4 – and that was the perfect way to prepare for the higher-performance GTX.”

Michael Teichmann and his crew will now be focusing on further set-up work to achieve their aims for the season: “We want to be back in the top ten this season,” he says. “We saw last year that this objective is realistic with the KTM X-BOW GTX. More races will help our drivers grow even more accustomed to their new car.”

The next race for the KTM customer racing team takes place on 23 April. Due to wintery conditions at the Nürburgring, the four-hour race originally planned for 9 April had to be postponed.
