Red Bull KTM Factory Racing’s Josep Garcia and Andrea Verona are READY TO RACE the landmark 100th edition of the FIM 6DAYS Enduro of Nations. Taking place in Grândola, Portugal, from October 12-17, Garcia will represent Team Spain in the Men’s World Trophy category aboard his KTM 250 EXC-F, while Verona will race for Team Italy in the same class on his KTM 450 EXC-F.
Garcia enters the 100th 6DAYS looking to continue his remarkable run of success at the event. The Spaniard has claimed the overall individual victory for the last five consecutive years, including his record-breaking fifth straight win in 2025. Having never won the World Trophy with Team Spain, Josep will be aiming to add a team victory to his impressive trophy cabinet, while also targeting a sixth consecutive overall triumph.
The 2026 season has been another outstanding campaign for Garcia, who heads to Portugal on a strong run of form. The KTM rider won both the EnduroGP and Enduro1 World Championships, marking his eighth and ninth world titles. He’ll now look to carry that momentum into the 6DAYS as he targets further success.
Verona will return to the 6DAYS as part of Team Italy’s World Trophy squad, looking to defend the trophy he helped secure on home soil in 2025. The Italian also finished runner-up to Garcia in last year’s individual classification, giving him a clear target for this year’s event as he aims to go one better and claim the overall individual victory.
Heading to Portugal as the newly crowned FIM Enduro2 World Champion, Verona has enjoyed an impressive season in EnduroGP which also saw him finish as runner-up to his teammate in the overall standings. Andrea also claimed his ninth world title, making him and Josep the joint third most successful riders in EnduroGP history.
KTM will be strongly represented at the 2026 6DAYS, with 47 KTM riders competing across the World Trophy teams alone. That includes 26 in the Men’s World Trophy, seven in the Women’s World Trophy, and 14 in the Junior World Trophy. The line-up includes FMF KTM Factory Racing riders Dante Oliveira, Grant Davis, Johnny Girroir, and Brandy Richards. Across all categories, including the Club Team Awards, a total of 176 riders will compete aboard KTM machinery.
The 100th FIM 6DAYS Enduro of Nations will take place in Grândola, Portugal, from October 12-17. Marking a century of the iconic event, the six-day competition will bring together the world’s leading enduro riders to battle across a demanding mix of terrain, with World Trophy, Junior World Trophy, Women’s World Trophy, and individual classifications all contested throughout the week.
Josep Garcia: “It’s always a dream to race the 6DAYS, and this year is no different. I’m feeling really good on the bike and enjoying my riding a lot, so I’m really looking forward to getting started. My first goal is to fight for the World Trophy with Spain, because that’s the one thing missing from my career. Then, of course, I want to fight for the individual win as well, but I really don’t think too much about the records. I just want to enjoy it, give 100 percent every day, and fight for everything. The 6DAYS is always a special event, with all the countries coming together, and the atmosphere is different from any other race. I’m really excited to be part of it again this year and hopefully finish the season with another great result.”
Andrea Verona: “For me, it’s always great to race the 6DAYS. It’s an event I really enjoy for many reasons: the format, representing my country, and the fact that it’s not just about one individual race. Of course, we’re all racing for ourselves, but then the results come together for the team, and I really enjoy sharing the whole week with my teammates, from the lines and the racing to all the feelings and emotions. It makes the event really unique. This year is even more special because it’s the 100th edition, and we’re coming back as World Trophy winners from last year, so that’s really cool. I’m really looking forward to racing in Portugal. I want to fight for the overall individual win, which is something I’m still missing, and of course, we’ll also give everything we can to keep the World Trophy in Italy’s hands.”
Fabio Farioli – Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Enduro Team Manager: “Josep and Andrea are both going into the 6DAYS with very clear goals. Josep has such an incredible record at this event, with five consecutive individual wins, but the World Trophy with Spain is still missing, so I know how motivated he will be to fight for the team as well as the individual result. Andrea also has a big target after helping Italy win the World Trophy last year. He knows what it takes to win as a team, and after finishing second individually in 2025, he will be pushing to go one better this year. They are both coming off very strong EnduroGP seasons, so we’re looking forward to seeing what they can achieve in Portugal.”
