KEN DE DYCKER
Red Bull KTM Factory rider Ken De Dycker first joined the team as a stand in rider for the injured Max Nagl at the beginning of the 2012 season. He was confirmed as a full factory rider for the team half way through the season and successfully rode the KTM 450 SX-F to a fifth place overall finish.
In 2013 De Dycker finished top three in 14 of the MX1 individual races over the 17-GP season to wrap up the season in third overall behind teammate and World Champion Tony Cairoli and Clement Desalle.
A riding injury in the off season not only delayed de Dycker's start to his 2014 campaign and subsequent complications as a result of the injury kept him out of the early rounds. He returned to tentatively ride in Round 6 of the newly named MXGP championship but the effects of his long injury break and continual discomfort prevented him from reaching his full potential. De Dycker did not travel to Brazil for the final round but instead underwent corrective shoulder surgery and is expected to be completely fit for the beginning of the 2015 season.
