Tony Cairoli was born September 23, 1985 in Patti, Italy and in 2014 won his eighth world championship title. Already a recognized champion, Cairoli joined the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team at the beginning of the 2010 season, bringing with him his long-time manager Claudio De Carli.
He began his MX Grand Prix career in 2002 and won the MX2 title in 2005 and 2007. Cairoli set the bar a little higher taking the MX1 title in 2009 and reclaimed it in 2010, 2011 and again in 2012. He had a golden season in 2012 taking eleven victories, was second on one occasion and as twice third. He claimed his seventh world title in 2013 with another outstanding display of riding, tactics and consistency. Tony's dedication to the sport and his hard work also earned him the MXGP title in 2014. Cairoli claimed nine MXGP victories in the 17-round season and was named MXGP Sportsman of the Year in 2014, a title he was also awarded at home in Italy.
In 2015 he is joined in the MXGP team by Ken de Dycker and Tommy Searle. Cairoli is one of the most popular riders in the paddock and a great role model for younger team members.
