RED BULL KTM FACTORY RACING
The Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team followed up on a great season in 2012 with another winning year in 2013, when in the MX1 class of the World Championship (as of 2014, now called MXGP) Antonio Cairoli secured his seventh career title.
Cairoli continues to ride the light and agile KTM 350 SX-F, which in his capable hands has proved to be more than a match for the bigger 450cc bikes of his competitors. Ken de Dycker of Belgium is again Cairoli’s teammate and both riders continue to be managed by the very experienced Claudio de Carli. The team has benefitted from continuity and in keeping with the KTM philosophy, the riders have formed a bond and a close-knit team spirit.
Tony Cairoli launched his 2014 season with an impressive start in the three-round Italian International MX Championship, winning the Elite championship title. Ken de Dycker was still recovering from a November injury when the season got underway but was expected to be back racing after the two fly away races in Qatar and Thailand. De Dycker, who finished third in the 2013 World Championship, rides the KTM 450 SX-F machine.
