RC 250 R - WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP CONTENDER
The experience from eleven years of competition in the Grand Prix with countless victories has made KTM the dominant manufacturer in the Moto3 class of the ongoing Grand Prix season. Nearly half of all Moto3 teams have been using KTM motorbikes or KTM engines in the 2013 season. It will not be fewer next year, as KTM has once more thoroughly revised and upgraded the RC 250 R for customer teams. With new chassis geometry, new radiator and uprated engine kits, the teams will be getting a works replica that differs only in a few details from the 2014 factory material. The replica focuses the know-how of the KTM racing department and renowned partners like WP Suspension, PANKL Racing Systems, WETHJE Carbon Parts and Akrapovic Exhaust Systems. From its radial cylinder head with DLC coated finger followers to the cassette-type transmission to the titanium exhaust system, only the finest components are used to ensure competitive capacity on the highest level – “Ready to Race” with the best prospects on a podium finish. 450 RALLY - THE SERIAL WINNER
Twelve times in a row, victory at the notorious Rallye Dakar has now gone to KTM. Since the displacement reduction to 450cc, the KTM 450 Rally is the bike to beat – it was no accident that Marc Coma and Cyril Despres triumphed on this bike in the last three years, and there is a reason why much more than half of the grid has been using bikes from Mattighofen for years. For three years now, KTM has been offering a fully prepared race bike for ambitious rally pilots, the exclusive Replica version of the Factory 450 Rally. For 2014, the engineers from the KTM racing department have thoroughly revised the 450 Rally, making it even narrower with a new frame, new tanks and new radiators. A new packaging ensures a lower centre of gravity, as well as placing the masses closer to the vehicle c-o-g, ensuring even better handling – supported by the new linkage kinematics and the longer stroke of the rear suspension. The narrower new roadbook tower and the transparent windshield improve the rider's visibility.
