German rider Philipp Scholz became a KTM Factory rider for the company's Extreme Enduro line-up ahead of the 2014 racing season.
Born in 1991 in Kempten, Scholz rode is first race in 2002 in the Trial Alpenpokal at Kreuztal and first rode a KTM machine in 2012. A passionate competitor in the every increasingly popular Extreme Enduro events, he scored a 12th palce in the 2012 edition of the four-day Red Bull Romaniacs and followed this up with a sixth in the Red Bull Sea To Sky, which comprises three separate races (Beach, Forest and Mountain).
Scholz, who competes on a KTM 300 EXC, joins Jonny Walker of Britain and Andreas Lettenbichler on the team that will contest the major Extreme Enduro events in the 2014 season. Teammate Taddy Blazusiak will concentrate on the Indoor enduro championship on both sides of the Atlantic (the USA-based EnduroCross and the FIM SuperEnduro).Philipp's facebook
