MUSQUIN FINISHES FIFTH AT MUDDY CREEK NATIONAL; ANDERSON FOURTEENTH
BLOUNTVILLE, Tennessee – Red Bull KTM Factory rider Marvin Musquin had an impressive ride earning two 5th place finishes to earn 5th overall at the fifth round of the Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship Series held at Muddy Creek Raceway. Rockstar Energy KTM rider Jason Anderson finished 14th overall.
Marvin Musquin had to fight for his 5th place result in moto one when he got off to a poor start. He clocked in on the first lap in 15th place and steadily worked his way up through the pack. By the halfway point he had climbed into 7th place and began setting his sights on the next two riders. The next lap he was able to get around Cole Seely and Justin Hill to take 5th place. On his KTM 250 SX-F he pulled ahead of them and maintained that spot through the checkered flag.
In the second moto Musquin got off to a much better start and crossed the first lap in 6th place. On the third lap he moved into 5th position. He maintained that position for the remainder of the moto while also closing the gap to 4th place. His 5-5 moto results earned him 5th overall for the day.
