KTM ENDURO FACTORY TEAM WARM UP AT THE SPANISH NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS

    published at 04.03.2012

KTM Factory riders took the opportunity to warm up for the start of the season on Sunday at the opening round of the Spanish National Championships at Vinaròs – Castellón with Johnny Aubert the fastest on the day.

“Johnny took the lead from the very first test and led throughout the day,” reported boss Fabio Farioli. “Cervantes and Cristobal Guerrero managed to get close a couple of times but in the end they couldn’t catch him. Remes had a slow start but was the fastest rider over the MX test,” he added. David Knight rode in the E3 class but had to retire after experiencing some clutch problems.

The team’s two French recruits, Antoine Meo and Christophe Nambotin did not race in Spain and are currently training at home in France.

The factory team’s bikes and equipment is being shipped to Chile this week ahead of the opening rounds in Talca on March 24-25. They will then go to Argentina for the next two rounds before returning to race in Europe.
