A DAY WITH TNT
What does a classic TNT event look like? Participants arrive at the racetrack either the night before or on the morning of the event, where they are welcomed by the TNT Team. Once registration is completed, there is always enough time for any questions to be answered, tips to be given and getting into the right mood for the event. On the morning of the track day itself, refreshments such as hot tea and coffee, pastries and fruit are available for the participants during the safety briefing. Throughout the whole day, mechanics are available to help all those taking part, irrespective of the brand name on their bikes.
Then at about nine o'clock it's time for you to start your engines and head out onto the racetrack, divided into groups depending on personal preference and ability. After the first few laps on their own bikes, every participant can draw on the KTM TNT test fleet and gain an impression of how the track feels in the saddle of another motorcycle. At TNT Days with licence-free races, time trials are held in the morning, following a brief technical safety check, for the race taking place in the afternoon. The emphasis here is firmly on fun and everyone has the opportunity to time themselves and size up the field. One or two might have acquired the odd tip on the best riding line in advance from one of the instructors, but even those who are not at the start/finish line can obtain valuable tips regarding sight lines to improve personal lap times. Lunch is taken together at midday, providing a good opportunity to get your breath back and exchange first experiences. After a coffee by the KTM race trailer, it's out onto the track again to make optimum use of the afternoon.
The races are started later in the afternoon, with the winners awarded their prizes on the same evening. A professional photographer is on location at every racetrack, capturing the participants at full tilt and providing images that are a permanent reminder of a thrilling day, packed full of adrenalin. At two-day events, there is an evening meal in the paddock which, in most cases, provides all participants with another opportunity to talk shop and compare their lap times.
