After record results in the current business year and fabulous 20 (!) World championship titles in 2012, KTM at EICMA attaches seamlessly to mentioned successes. The motorcycles presented by KTM cause record access on the internet and high public attendance at the KTM stand at EICMA.
In Milan (I) the prototype of the KTM 1290 Super Duke R rise to the position of the undisputed EICMA highlight. Within 24 hours, the action video on the powerful naked bike manufactured in Mattighofen crack the barrier of 100,000 visitors at the KTM Youtube Channel. In the category “Cars & Vehicles”, the video rushes to the Top 15 of Youtube Charts!
In the “beast´s” slipstream the newly presented KTM 390 Duke has an easy job. Besides the big sister, for six days, the new 390 Duke was the eye-catcher at KTM´s exhibition stand. The 125 and 200 Duke ABS, as well as the for the first time presented KTM 690 Duke R, rounded off the Naked Bike appearance from Mattighofen and caused a sensation at the gathered international press.
Apart from the more than 30 jacked up motorcycles, KTM´s World champions of 2012 spread the philosophy of “Ready to race”. At Tuesday’s press conference, Sandro Cortese unveiled the new RC 250 R, KTM´s Moto3 production racer. Besides Cortese, other stars like Tony Cairoli, Jeffrey Herlings, Antoine Meo, Christophe Nambotin, Marc Coma and Cyril Despres made an appearance and signed numerous autographs.
The grand finale at the last day of a successful EICMA week was traditionally the autographing session of Italian national hero Tony Cairoli, who caused restricted mobility at the orange KTM island.
