DAVID KNIGHT BACK ON TRACK AFTER DOUBLE HIP SURGERY
published at 02.10.2011
KTM Enduro Factory Team rider David Knight was in Mendes, France for the final round of the E3 World Championship, essentially to try himself out on the track after a long injury layoff.
The Knighter was the only KTM factory rider in the class at the final round and while he did take to the track on Saturday, only to retire after the seventh test, he sat out Sunday’s final round. David, a multiple world champion has missed most of the season after having to undergo double hip surgery and is yet to regain full levels of fitness.
Meanwhile KTM congratulates the 2011 champion Mika Ahola of Finland and looks forward to returning to E3 competition with a full contingent of factory riders in 2012.
