DAKAR RALLY UPDATE - ORGANIZERS ADJUST TIMES OF DAKAR STAGE 8

Dakar 2012 Race Directors have decided to adjust times of the first bikes that got bogged down in mud that had not been marked on the road book near 10 km of Stage 8.
The route was changed after the seventh motorcycle went through to prevent the following vehicles getting stuck. This decision has resulted in an adjustment to the times and the following riders have been credited with times lost: Marc Coma, Cyril Despres, Paolo Gonçalves, Helder Rodrigues, Joan Farrés Güell, Pal Anders Ullevalseter and David Casteu. Marc Coma therefore now has a lead of one minute 26 seconds over Cyril Despres.
