Prochnau, Bykerk and Pechout represent!
Canadians continue to top the charts in major US off-road races! The latest accomplisments took place at round six of the GEICO AMA EnduroCross series in Everett, Washington, where KTM’s Bobby Prochnau, Chantelle Bykerk and Lexi Pechout all graced the podium in their respective classes.
After qualifying through his semi, RTR Performance KTM’s Prochnau rode steady early in the main event to hold tight to the leaders. In the final laps, he caught up to Mike Brown and made the pass for third—Prochnau’s first ever US Endurocross podium!
"Getting into the main event is the toughest part", said Prochnau afterwards. I’ve been working really hard, training for these final Endurocross events and know I can be up front if I get into the final. This weekend it worked!"
In the women’s class, Prochnau’s RTR Performance teammate and girlfriend, Chantelle Bykerk, pushed hard until the final corner to finish a close second to Louise Forsley. Fellow Canadian and Cycle Works KTM rider, Lexi Pechout held on for third.
An incredible ride for these three, who are showing that Canada has a strong future in off-road racing!
