125 SX - FOR THE CHAMPIONS OF TOMORROW
The 125 SX has been the springboard to a professional career for many a young rider. Driven by a powerful two-stroke engine with exhaust control system and six-speed transmission, the lightest bike in its class has been leading the pack for many years now. And this will continue to be the case, with new bodywork and a significantly revamped suspension. The 48 mm upside-down fork featuring closed-cartridge technology has been optimised with completely revamped settings. Its new lower triple clamp is 80 grams lighter now and, just like the upper triple clamp, CNC machined from high quality aluminium, whereby the steering characteristics and hence the responsiveness of the fork have been noticeably improved. The WP monoshock has been further refined and, together with the linkage system, it excels with its completely revamped settings for more traction and even higher reserves against bottoming out. Moreover the engineers have redesigned the rear section of the swingarm to allow installation of a thicker rear wheel axle for the benefit of better tracking stability. A new airbox makes the MY 2013 125 cc engine more powerful than ever. So the 125 SX still is the perfect choice for everyone looking for a light, agile and strong bike that won’t cost a fortune to buy and run.
150 SX - BEST OF BOTH WORLDS
The 150 SX has been designed mainly with the popular American MX Lites class in mind but may also be used in the MX2 in many countries. Hobby racers love the perfect combination of a 125’s playful agility with an output closer to a 250cc 4-stroke bike. With new bodywork, new handlebars and a significantly revamped suspension the 150 SX will continue to delight its fans. 250 SX - THE FINEST TWO-STROKE REFERENCE
Underscoring KTM’s commitment to powerful twostroke contenders in the top category of motocross, the 250 SX features thoroughly considered innovations year after year. For 2013, among other things, a new DDS clutch (Damped Diaphragm Steel) with a wear-free steel cage is fitted to the 250 SX engine, allowing use of thin steel discs for minimum overall width. The new clutch’s diaphragm spring not only reduces the operating force but also provides space for integrated hub damping. The result: more traction and protection for the transmission. As every single 2013 motocross model, the 250 SX is benefitting from the significantly revamped suspension with new triple clamp, reworked swingarms, stronger rear wheel axle, and modified settings. The new suspension scores with even higher reserves against bottoming out, improved responsiveness, and even better tracking stability. Not only visually does the completely revamped bodywork indicate that the 2013 model year represents a new SX generation. Thanks to the optimised ergonomics rider and machine form a perfect harmony. Furthermore the 250 SX still has to offer an unrivalled power-to-weight ratio and many pros and hobby riders love its hands-on, straightforward technology.
