KTM Service & Warranty
When purchasing a KTM motorcycle you receive a delivery certificate and a service & warranty booklet. This booklet contains KTM´s warranty guidelines and provides proof of entitlement for KTM´s warranty services.

It also proves that your motorcycle has been properly maintained, so ensure your dealer enters the service information into this booklet along with a stamp and the dealer.net registration number. To maintain your warranty rights and keep the resale value of your motorcycle high, have your services carried out timely, in compliance with the owner´s manual and at at an officially autorised KTM dealership.

Importing non-U.S. specification KTM vehicles and products
According to certain U.S. federal regulations, nonconforming vehicles and products must be imported through a certified Independent Commercial Importer, who will be responsible for the emission compliance as per EPA requirements, and through an independent Registered Importer, who will be responsible for the safety compliance of the vehicle or products as per DOT requirements. The Independent Commercial and the Registered Importer are not affiliated with KTM North America, Inc. and should be contacted directly (see below) for any questions in regards to import eligibility or the necessary modifications prior to importation of the nonconforming vehicle or product.

In addition to the federal laws, some U.S. State governments require a separate vehicle registration inspection, which may vary from State to State. Further modifications could be necessary to pass such inspection.

For an estimate on the total expenses associated with such modifications you may contact an Independent Commercial and Registered Importer. The EPA and DOT may assist you in identifying such Importers.

Contact Information:
EPA: (202) 564-9660; DOT: (202) 366-4000 or www.nhtsa.dot.gov
U.S. Customs www.customs.ustreas.gov

Please keep in mind that KTM does not encourage or recommend the importation of nonconforming vehicles and products into the U.S. due to the extent of the required modifications and related costs. KTM also does not assist or offer support in any way, shape or form with the independent private importation of any KTM products or vehicles; KTM furthermore cannot guarantee the availability of non-U.S. specification spare parts or accessories within the United States.

For information about the (temporary) importation of competition vehicles or products, please contact the promoter or sanctioning body of the respective event, as regulations and requirements may vary. A Temporary Import Bond, additional U.S. customs and EPA documentation,  along with specific declarations for parts and tires may be required.
