As a highlight on the Intermot and EICMA, KTM introduces (in collaboration with BMW) a prototype Neck Brace. This Neck Brace, developed by the South African Dr. Chris Leatt, takes another big step forward in matters of neck protection.
The neck brace is made of Carbon Fiber and fiberglass reinforced nylon. According the current state of the art and technology this system helps to prevent:

extreme forward head movement

extreme rearward head movement
| | Lateral hyperflexion
extreme sideways head movement
| | Axial loading
compression of the spinal column due to the effect of force on the helmet. |
