Royal Distributing Thor KTM on the podium in Walton!
CMRC MX Pro National: 9th round, Walton, ON, August 16th, 2009
Team Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada ended the 2009 CMRC Nationals on a high note claiming 2nd overall in the MX 2 series. After a long hard fought battle across the Country the team arrived in the beautifully prepped Walton race facility ready to race. As the gate dropped on the first MX2 moto of the day all eyes were on Royal Distributing Thor KTM rider Eric Nye. He still had a mathematical chance for the title and gave it everything he had as the gate dropped. Nye rode his KTM 250 SX-F up front in both motos, but unfortunately luck wasn’t on his side and on track incidents forced the California native to go down in both motos. Eric scored enough points to remain in 2nd overall and celebrated on the podium at the end of the day. After a heartbreaking injury last weekend, Grand Prairie’s Kyle McGlynn was unable to compete this weekend and lost a few positions in the series, but managed to retain a top 10 overall result making for a very successful season with the Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada squad. The MX 1 Class had a full gate of world class racers lined up to do battle. Team Royal Distributing Thor KTM riders Jeff Northrop, Ryan Millar and Mason Phillips all had great starts on their KTM 450 SX-F’s. Northrop finished the day in 8th position, Phillips placed in 13th, and the #43 of Ryan Millar once again proved he has great potential scoring another 10th place overall.

Team RTR Performance, Orange Motorsports Troy Lee Designs also had a fantastic day with MX2’s Kerim Fitz-Gerald winning his 2nd consecutive race, handing him 4th overall in the MX2 Series. His teammate Liam O’Farrell overcame a mid pack start and powered his RTR Performance, Orange Motorsports tuned KTM 450 SX-F to a 4th place finish which earned Liam and his sponsors an 8th place in the series. Another story of the day for KTM in the MX1 class was special guest rider Kornel Nemeth. The Troy Lee Designs backed rider once again placed himself with the elite of Canadian motocross scoring a 2nd in moto 2 in the MX1 class. Kornel proved to be just as competitive on hard pack conditions as in the sand passing his way from 15th to 2nd in the final moto of the day in extremely hot and humid conditions. After competing in just 3 rounds this season the charismatic Hungarian earned 16th spot in the series.

Courses VTT: 5th round, Ste-Véronique, QC: August 15th & 16th, 2009
Last weekend was the 5th round of the ‘’courses VTT’’ provincial series in Ste-Véronique. KTM dealer Moto des Ruisseaux rider Bobby Desjardins dominated the 16-24 I-P class. He won his 2 motos to take the overall for the day Saturday. In the Semi-Pros category KTM Grégoire Sport rider, Patrick Brisebois finished both his motos in the top 5. Antoine Laliberté, another KTM rider, took the 6th position overall in that class. Sunday, Desjardins took the 6th position overall in the Pro class. In the Inter category, Billy Dubois ended up on the podium with a 3rd place.
Justin Brayton earned 4th overall at the Unadilla Motocross event!
US Motocross Lites Series: 9th round New Berlin, NY: August 15th, 2009
Brayton started 10th in the first moto and worked his way up into 8th by the moto end. In moto number two he had a great start rounding the first turn in 2nd. Brayton remained in 2nd place for the first three laps and then dropped to 4th. He rode a strong race sitting in 4thposition for the majority of the moto. He finished 4th overall in the second moto - a finish strong enough to award him 4th overall. Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM rider Ryan Sipes started 8th in his first race of the motocross season and remained there for half of the moto. Sipes eventually dropped a few positions but managed to hang on for a hard fought 11th place finish. Tommy Searle, finished 10th in the moto. In moto number two, Searle got a better start rounding the first turn in 10th. He plowed his way through a few riders and moved up to 7th by the end of the moto.
Blazusiak wins round two of the EnduroCross Series in Guthrie!
Endurocross Series: 2nd round, Guthie, Oklahoma: August 15th, 2009
By EnduroCross standards, Red Bull KTM's Taddy Blazusiak dominated the main in Guthrie Oklahoma. But the battle for second was anything but boring as the large crowd cheered on a five rider battle. Christini KTM mounted Geoff Aaron took forth position.

Série de motocross Pro National CMRC: 9e course, Walton, Ontario, 16 août 2009
L’équipe Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada a terminé la saison 2009 de la série de motocross Pro National CMRC sur une bonne note remportant la 2e position au classement final de la série. Après un long été de batailles à travers le pays, l’équipe est arrivée à Walton ‘’ready to race’’. Lors du départ de la 1ère course de MX2 de la journée, tous les yeux étaient sur le coureur Royal Distributing Thor KTM Eric Nye. Il avait mathématiquement encore une chance de gagner le titre, il a donc tout donné pour essayer d’y arriver. Nye a roulé sa KTM 250 SX-F à l’avant dans ses deux courses mais malheureusement la chance n’était pas de son côté et quelques incidents l’ont fait tomber dans les deux courses. Heureusement, Eric a gagné assez de points pour prendre la 2e position de la série et pour pouvoir célébrer sur le podium à la fin de la journée. Après sa mauvaise blessure de la fin de semaine dernière, Kyle McGlynn n’a pas pu courir la dernière ronde mais a quand même pu rester dans le top 10 au classement général de la série. En MX1, la ligne de départ était pleine de coureurs prêts à se battre pour les meilleures positions. Les coureurs de l’équipe Royal Distributing Thor KTM Jeff Northrop, Ryan Millar et Mason Phillips ont tous eu de bons départs sur leur KTM 450 SX-F. Northrop a fini en 8e position pour la journée, Phillips en 13e et le numéro 43 de Ryan Millar en 10e.

L’équipe RTR Performance, Orange Motorsports Troy Lee Designs a également eu une excellente journée surtout en MX2 avec Kerim Fitz-Gerald qui a remporté sa 2e course consécutive en MX2 lui donnant ainsi la 4e position de la série. Son coéquipier, Liam O’Farrell est remonté avec sa KTM 450 SX-F préparée par RTR Performance, Orange Motorsports jusqu’à une 4e position totale le plaçant 8e pour la saison. Une autre belle histoire pour KTM est le coureur de MX1 Troy Lee Designs Kornel Nemeth remportant la 2e position à sa course 2. Kornel a prouvé qu’il était très motivé lorsqu’il est remonté de la 15e position à la 2e dans la dernière course de la journée. Après avoir couru seulement 3 courses, le coureur Hongrois a terminé la saison en 16e position.
Excellents résultats pour les coureurs VTT KTM!
Courses VTT: 5e course, Ste-Véronique, Québec: 15 et 16 août 2009
La fin de semaine dernière se tenait la 5e course de la série provinciale courses VTT à Ste-Véronique. Le coureur du concessionnaire KTM Moto des Ruisseaux Bobby Desjardins a dominé la classe 16-24 I-P. Il a remporté ses deux courses pour prendre la victoire au cumulatif samedi. Dans la catégorie semi-pro, le coureur KTM Grégoire Sport, Patrick Brisebois a traversé la ligne d’arrivée de ses deux courses dans le top 5. De son côté, Antoine Laliberté, un autre coureur KTM, a fini avec une 6e position dans cette classe. Dimanche, Desjardins a été en mesure de terminer 6e au total dans la classe Pro. Dans la classe Inter, c’est Billy Dubois qui a complété le podium avec son VTT KTM.

Série américaine de motocross Lites: 9e course, New Berlin, New York: 15 août 2009
Brayton a pris la 10e position au départ de sa 1ère course et est remonté jusqu’en 8e position avant la fin. À sa 2e course, il a eu un excellent départ prenant la 2e position après le premier virage. Brayton a gardé cette position pour environ 3 tours pour ensuite prendre la 4e place. Il a continué de rouler de façon consistante pour finir à cette position. Ses excellents résultats lui ont donné la 4e place au total. Le coureur Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM Ryan Sipes a pris la 8e position au départ de la 1ère course et l’a gardé pour la majorité de la course. Ensuite, il a perdu quelques positions pour finir en 11e. Tommy Searle, de son côté a terminé dans le top 10 à sa course 1 et 7e à sa course 2.
Blazusiak gagne la 2e course de la série EnduroCross à Guthrie!
Série Endurocross: 2e course, Guthie, Oklahoma: 15 août 2009
À son habitude, le coureur d’Endurocross Red Bull KTM, Taddy Blazusiak a dominé l’événement à Guthrie en Oklahoma. Par contre, la bataille se passait derrière pour les autres positions. Le coureur Christini KTM Geoff Aaron a pris la 4e position.
