| Phillips top Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada rider at Sand Del Lee!

CMRC MX Pro National: 8th round, Sand Del Lee, ON, August 9th, 2009
Team Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada arrived at the Sand Del Lee race track ready to do battle and move up the point’s ladder. As the gate dropped for the first MX2 moto, teammates Eric Nye and Kyle McGlynn each rounded the first turn in the top 10. During the first lap, a racing incident with a fellow competitor resulted in an early moto crash sending Kyle to the ground seriously injuring his shoulder. Royal Distributing Thor MX KTM Canada’s Eric Nye continued his consistent riding and made his way to the front of the pack only to suffer a set back mid moto causing him to lose valuable positions, and forced him to play catch up for the remaining minutes of Moto 1. He crossed the finish line in 7th place. After a decent start Nye raced in 3rd place before finding some trouble about half way through the moto. He found his groove again laying down some fast laps including the 2nd quickest lap of the race, but ran out of time before he could reel in the leaders. The defending champ finished moto 2 in 6th position. His overall of 6th for the day doesn’t reflect his true ability but Eric looks to rebound and finish on a high note next weekend at the Walton Trans Can National.
Royal Distributing’s Jeff Northrop was racing in 4th position for the first half of the moto 1 in MX1 when bad luck struck in the form of a flat rear tire. After a pit stop to repair the damage Norcal was unable to make up the time to score any points in the highly competitive MX1 class. Fresh off his top 10 in Moncton, rookie rider Ryan Millar kept his forward momentum rolling and scored valuable points in two very impressive motos going 8-11 for a 9th overall position. The # 15 of Mason Phillips moved into the top 10 in points this weekend with his 5th overall score. Mason rode his KTM 450 SX-F to 4th place in the first moto and 5th place in the second moto.
Team Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada had a guest rider this weekend. Barrie, Ontario’s Kate McKerroll has been competing in the Royal Distributing Canadian National Women’s Series on a Parker Bros. Powersports KTM 144 SX. The #94 of McKerroll joined the team at Sand Del Lee and did the team proud placing 2nd overall for the day. The 15 year old McKerroll did not get the chance to compete in the first two rounds, but managed a 9th overall for the series after just riding in 3 of the 5 race series.
Team RTR Performance/Orange Motorsports Troy Lee Designs had a fantastic day. MX2’s Kerim Fitz-Gerald rode his RTR/OMS prepped KTM 250 SX-F up front the entire day showing his true potential winning first place for the first time in his Canadian moto career. His teammate Liam O’Farrell also turned in great results on board his KTM 450 SX-F going 7-6 for a 6th overall.

4 KTM in the top 5 at FMSQ Provincial Enduro-Cross!
FMSQ Provincial Enduro-Cross Series: 7th round, Vaudreuil, QC, August 8th, 2009
Last weekend was the 7th round of the FMSQ Provincial Enduro-Cross Series in Vaudreuil and the KTM riders scored once again amazing results. Duroy Racing rider, Michel Metcalfe had a really good race finishing on the 2nd step of the podium with his KTM 250 XC. Not too far behind to complete the podium, was Philippe Chainé and his KTM 250 XC-F prepared by KTM dealer Ja-Per-Formance. Jérémy Daudelin rode for a good part of the race in 3rd position but finally settled for the 4th place with his Duroy Racing KTM 250 XC-F. KTM Canada rider, Patrick Beaulé (KTM 250 XC) completed the almost all orange top 5.
James Bank wins Saturday at Parry Sound provincial race!
ATV Canada Cup: Parry Sound, ON, August 8th & 9th, 2009
Last weekend was the ATV Canada Cup in Parry Sound and once again Royal Distributing Thor KTM ATV rider James Bank performed very well during the 2 motos Satuday and it paid off as he took overall win. Sunday, he battled hard all race and crossed the finished line in 2nd position.
Amélie Lavallée takes the 2nd position at FMSQ race!
FMSQ ATV Provincial Enduro-Cross Series: 7th round, Vaudreuil, QC, August 7th, 2009
KTM dealer Grégoire Sport rider, Amélie Lavallée rode a really consistent race to finish in 2nd position on her KTM 525 XC ATV. KTM rider, Michel Lahaye had also an excellent race as he ended up in 5th place on his KTM 525 XC VTT also prepared by Grégoire Sport. In the Intermediate ATV class, Marc Verrette took the 1st position once again. Jef Dufour from Duroy Racing took the 1st position in the 30 + class after 5 year break in ATV racing.
Russell Bobbitt strengthened his points lead!
National Enduro Series: 9th round, Marquette, MI, August 9th, 2009
Shock Doctor/KTM rider Russell Bobbitt strengthened his points lead over teammate Mike Lafferty with his fifth win of the season at the ninth round of the AMA National Enduro Series. In the end, Bobbitt's three test wins were solid enough to take the overall for the day allowing his points lead to stretch to 6 points over Lafferty. With only one round left in the series - the finale will again be another nail bitter for the two teammates that are now accustomed to battling closely for championship wins.

Série de motocross Pro National CMRC: 8e course, Sand Del Lee, Ontario, 9 août 2009
L’équipe Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada est arrivée à Sand Del Lee prête à réduire les écarts de points avec ses compétiteurs. Au départ de la 1ère course MX2, les coéquipiers Eric Nye et Kyle McGlynn étaient dans le top 10. Par contre durant le 1er tour, un incident s’est produit avec un autre coureur qui a fait tomber Kyle le blessant gravement et l’empêchant de continuer la course. Le coureur Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada, Eric Nye a roulé de façon consistante parmi les meneurs mais a perdu quelques positions vers le milieu de la course le forçant à se battre pour sa position le reste de la course. Il a traversé la ligne d’arrivée en 7e position. Il a eu un bon départ à sa 2e course et a roulé en 3e position jusqu’au milieu de la course. Après avoir perdu quelques positions a réussi à remonter en 6e position avant la fin. Sa 6e position totale ne démontre pas ses capacités réelles mais Eric est très motivé et a hâte de terminer la saison la fin de semaine prochaine à Walton avec d’excellents résultats.
Après un excellent départ à sa 1ère course, le coureur de MX1 Royal Distributing Jeff Northrop a roulé en 4e position jusqu’au milieu de la course malheureusement un pneu crevé lui a fait perdre de précieuses positions. De retour en piste, Norcal n’a pas été en mesure de finir dans les points de la très compétitive catégorie de MX1. Encore sur l’adrénaline de son top 10 à Moncton, le jeune coureur Ryan Millar a continué sur la même voie en remportant d’importants points avec ses résultats 8-11 pour une 9e position totale. Le numéro 15 de Mason Phillips a fini dans le top 10 du classement général en fin de semaine avec une 5e position au total. Mason a roulé sur sa KTM 450 SX-F jusqu’à une 4e et 5e position aux courses 1 et 2.
L’équipe Royal Distributing Thor KTM Canada avait une coureuse invitée pour la fin de semaine. Kate McKerroll de Barrie en Ontario a participé à la série nationale Royal Distributing des femmes sur une KTM 144 SX du concessionnaire Parker Bros. Powersports. McKerroll s’est jointe à l’équipe à Sand Del Lee terminant en 2e position pour la journée. La jeune femme de 15 ans qui a participé à 3 des 5 courses de la série seulement est 9e au classement général.
Les membres de l’équipe RTR Performance/Orange Motorsports Troy Lee Designs ont eu une excellente journée. En MX2, Kerim Fitz-Gerald a prouvé tout son potentiel en finissant 1er pour la 1ère fois à une course de la série canadienne sur sa KTM 250 SX-F. 4 KTM dans le top 5 à la course d’enduro-cross FMSQ à Vaudreuil!
Série provinciale d’enduro-cross FMSQ: 7e course, Vaudreuil, Québec, 9 août 2009
La fin de semaine dernière se tenait la 7e course de la série provinciale d’enduro-cross FMSQ et les coureurs KTM ont obtenu d’excellents résultats comme à leur habitude. Le coureur Duroy Racing, Michel Metcalfe a eu une excellente course finissant sur la 2e marche du podium avec sa KTM 250 XC. Pas très loin derrière pour compléter le podium se trouvait Philippe Chainé et sa KTM 250 XC-F préparée par le concessionnaire KTM Ja-Per-Formance. De son côté, Jérémy Daudelin a roulé pendant une partie de la course en 3e position pour finalement prendre la 4e place à quelques secondes seulement du podium avec sa KTM 250 XC-F Duroy Racing. Le coureur KTM Canada, Patrick Beaulé (KTM 250 XC) a complété le top 5 presque totalement orange.
Une autre excellente course pour James Bank!
Coupe VTT Canada: Parry Sound, Ontario, 8 et 9 août 2009
La fin de semaine dernière se tenait la coupe Canada VTT à Parry Sound et encore une fois le coureur Royal Distributing Thor KTM James Bank a été excellent. Bank a dominé la journée de samedi en remportant ses deux courses ainsi que la 1ère position au total pour la journée. Dimanche, il s’est battu et a finalement pris la 2e position au total.
Amélie Lavallée termine en 2e position à la course FMSQ de Vaudreuil!
Série provinciale VTT d’enduro-cross FMSQ: 7e course, Vaudreuil, Québec, 9 août 2009
La coureuse du concessionnaire KTM Grégoire Sport, Amélie Lavallée a roulé de façon consistante durant toute la course pour finir en 2e position sur son KTM 525 XC VTT. Le coureur Michel Lahaye a également eu une bonne course finissant en 5e position avec son KTM 525 XC VTT préparé par Grégoire Sport également. Dans la catégorie VTT intermédiaire, Marc Verrette de Duroy Racing a une fois de plus pris la 1ère position. Dans la catégorie 30 + Jeff Dufour de Duroy Racing a fini en 1ère position à son retour en course VTT après 5 ans.
Russell Bobbitt mène la série nationale d’Enduro!
Série nationale d’enduro: 9e course, Marquette, Michigan, 9 août 2009
Le coureur de l’équipe Shock Doctor/KTM Russell Bobbitt a augmenté son avance sur son coéquipier Mike Lafferty avec sa 5e victoire de la saison à la 9e course de la série nationale d’enduro. À la fin de la course, avec sa victoire à 3 tests, Bobbit avait obtenu assez de points pour gagner au total pour la journée. Son résultat lui donne une avance de 6 points en 1ère position sur Lafferty. Avec une seule course à faire, on peut s’attendre à ce que les deux coéquipiers se battre jusqu’à la fin pour la victoire du championnat.
