KTM Weekly Race Report June 16th, 2009

Kyle McGlynn finishes in 4th position at CMRC MX Pro National round 2!


 
CMRC MX Pro National: 2nd round, Calgary, AB, June 14th 2009

Last weekend at Wild Rose Motocross Track was the 2nd round of the CMRC MX Pro National. In the MX1 Class Royal Distributing Thor KTM rider Jeff Northrop (KTM 450 SX-F) took the 9th position overall with his 7-15 results. His teammate Mason Phillips suffered a great start the first moto but got caught up in a first turn incident and his bike suffered damage and he was unable to continue. He got a better jump the second moto and finished 12th.  Ryan Millar scored 8th in the first moto and got a great start the 2nd moto. Millar unfortunately suffered a crash and was able to climb back to 21st by motos end. 
In the MX2 class, Kyle Mcglynn grabbed the best KTM finish of the day with 2 really good motos. He rode in 2nd place for the majority of the first moto and ended up in 4th position overall with his 4-5 results on his KTM 250 SX-F. The other Royal Distributing Thor KTM rider, Eric Nye (KTM 250 SX-F) had a really good start in moto 1 and almost got the Holeshot. After having some mechanical problems, he was able to get back in the race and scored some valuable points crossing the finish line in 11th position. For the second moto, he took the 6th position after a tight race between the top 10. His combined moto scores gave Eric a 9th overall.

Michel Metcalfe ends up in 2nd place at round 3 of FMSQ Enduro-Cross


 
FMSQ Enduro-Cross Series: Round 3, Ferme-Neuve, QC, June 14th, 2009
 
The 3rd round of the FMSQ Enduro-Cross Series was held in Ferme-Neuve. Again for this round lots of the top riders were on KTM machines. KTM rider Francis Ouimette had a really good start in 3rd place. He rode in 2nd position for about the 1st hour of the race and was really close to the leader Guy Giroux. Unfortunately he got a flat tire and was forced to quit. KTM dealer Duroy Pièces d’Autos rider Michel Metcalfe rode well the whole race with his KTM 250 XC and finished on the 2nd spot of the podium. KTM rider Patrick Beaulé (KTM 250 XC) finished not too far behind in 4th position followed in 5th position by Jérémy Daudelin (KTM 250 XC-F). We also want to congratulate Fiona Robichaud who dominated her class and scored one of the best time in the overall ladies class.

 
 

 


James Bank won all 4 pro moto in Gopher Dune!


 


CMRC Ontario ATV Provincial Championship: Round 4 &5, Gopher Dunes, ON, June 13th & 14th, 2009
 
This past weekend at the famous Gopher Dunes National track in Courtland Ontario held round 4 & 5 of the CMRC Ontario Provincial Championship. Saturday, Royal Distributing Thor KTM rider, James Bank grabbed the Holeshot and checked out from the pack.  James was able to put over a half of a lap lead to take first place. In his 2nd moto, Bank once again won Holeshot and checked out from the pack.  James was able to put a substantial 35 second lead and won the race. Sunday for round 5, Royal Distributing Thor KTM rider James Bank was untouchable on his starts as he grabbed  the holeshot every time and took the 1st position in both motos.
 

 


Amélie Lavallée wins the Pro ATV Class in Ferme-Neuve!




FMSQ ATV Enduro-Cross Series: Round 3, Ferme-Neuve, QC, June 13th, 2009
 
Saturday in Ferme-Neuve was the FMSQ ATV Enduro-Cross race. Bobby Desjardins from KTM dealer Moto des Ruisseaux, had a really good start and led the race for almost half of the race until he had a mechanical problem with his ATV. KTM dealer Grégoire Sport rider, Amélie Lavallée was in 2nd position close to Desjardins. She took the lead when Deajardins stopped and she kept it until the end of the race with her KTM 525 XC ATV. Michel Lahaye-Genest ended the race in 6th position with his KTM 525 XC ATV prepared by KTM dealer Grégoire Sport.
 
 
 

Tommy Searle Earns 3rd Overall at High Point!




US Motocross Lites Series: Round 4, Mt. Morris, PA, June 13th, 2009.

Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM rider Tommy Searle earned his first overall podium at the fourth round of the Lucas Oil Motocross Series at High Point Raceway. Searle was 4th off the start of the first gate drop. Searle held on to finish 4th. As the gate dropped for moto two, Searle was again in the top five around the first turn. His 4-3 finishes awarded him 3rd overall for the day.
 
 
US Motocross Lites Series: Round 4, Mt. Morris, PA, June 13th, 2009.
 
Jagermeister/MDK/KTM rider Justin Brayton had put in a remarkable ride to finish 13th after a crash. In moto two, Brayton found himself in 7th position which is where he finished. His 13-7 finishes earned him 9th overall.
 
 

Historic victory for Taddy Blazusiak at Red Bull Hare Scramble!


 
 
Red Bull Hare Scramble, Erzberg Rodeo, 15th edition
 
The 15th edition of the Red Bull Hare Scramble, the high point of the Erzberg Rodeo will go down in the history of major offroad events in Austria. Taddy Blazusiak, riding his KTM 250 EXC secured a historic victory at the race that is considered the world's toughest one day extreme Enduro competition. The 26-year old Polish rider goes down in the record books of this legendary extreme Enduro event as the first rider to have scored three consecutive wins. Blazusiak not only dominated the competition in the Red Bull Hare Scramble but also managed to distance himself from second placed by more than half an hour. Immediately after the start, he took over the lead after a third of the distance. He advanced his lead at every key point of the race thereafter. The extreme Enduro specialist reached the top of the hill completely exhausted with a race time of 1h 42min.
 
Among the team of top international Enduro rider gathered at the KTM tent were also Canadian RTR Performance rider Cory Graffunder. He really made an impression with his amazing top 5 finish on his KTM 300 XC-W.
