Liam O’Farrell wins the overall in the Youth and GP Pro classes in Gopher Dunes!
CMRC MX Provincial, Amateur National Qualifier: Gopher Dunes, ON, May 3rd, 2009
Last weekend in Gopher Dunes was the 1st CMRC Provincial MX race and some of the best riders were there to start there season. KTM dealer Orange Motorsports rider, Liam O’Farrell had an amazing day on Sunday. In the 1st GP Pro moto, O’Farrell pulled the Holeshot and led during the 1st lap. He crossed the finish line in 3rd place on his KTM 450 SX-F. O’Farrell won the second moto and took the overall for the day. He started the first Youth class moto in 3rd and was able to pass in front and win the moto. He had some great battles in the second moto and ended up in 2nd position and winning the overall. ‘’I'm happy with the finish and the bike felt really good’’ said Liam. Another rider from KTM dealership Orange Motorsports who did really well over the weekend is Richard Grey. He won the GP Junior and the MX2 Junior class with 1-1 results on his KTM 250 SX-F. He was joined on both the podiums by KTM rider Nathan Bles in 2nd place. Grey also dominated the Schoolboy class and was followed by another KTM rider in 2nd position Drew Roberts, both were riding a KTM 150 SX.
Great results for KTM riders at Sand Del Lee!
CMRC Extreme MX Series, Amateur National Qualifier: Sand Del Lee, ON, May 3rd, 2009
Many MX amateur riders were at Sand Del Lee race track last weekend for the National Qualifier. KTM dealership Duroy Pièces d’Autos rider Micheal Dasilva raced in 3 classes. He had 2-1 results in the Super Mini class on his KTM 85 SX. Dasilva dominated the two 85cc 12-16 motos by crossing the finish line in 1st place. He was also able to put his KTM 150 SX on the second step of the podium with his 2-2 results in the Schoolboy class. Another KTM rider who did pretty well in the Schoolboy is Kate Mckerroll who finished 4th overall. In the 65cc Pee Wee class, 8 out of the top 10 were KTM young riders. KTM dealer Orange Motorsports rider Austin Squires took the 1st position followed by Tyler Greenlaw and Christopher Dasilva respectively in 2nd and 3rd position.

PNWMA Series: Salmon Arm, BC, May 3rd, 2009
It was a perfect weekend for the KTM dealer RTR Performance off road team with the great track conditions and the amazing results. Both Cory Graffunder and Bobby Prochnau participated to the PNWMA Series in Salmon Arm, BC on Sunday. They were in top shape and once again dominated the race. Graffunder finished the event in 1st position on his KTM 300 XC. His teammate Bobby Prochnau was not far behind and put his KTM 450 XC-F on the second spot of the podium.
Justin Brayton and Wil Hahn finish in the top 10!
AMA West vs. East Lites Supercross Shootout: Las Vegas, NV, USA, May 2nd, 2009
Muscle Milk/MDK/KTM teammates Justin Brayton (West Lites) and Wil Hahn (East Lites) both put in solid performances to earn top ten finishes at the AMA West vs. East Lites Supercross Shootout. Hahn was a little slow to move forward at first but then found his speed near the second half of the race and picked off two riders to break into the top ten earning 9th overall. Brayton battled for the 7th place position for half of the race before finding himself separated from the pack by the second half of the race. He stayed consistent to finish a decent 7th place overall. |
